She is an example of Hollyweird and their thinking they know what’s best for us. Hard to believe she was married to Ted Turner.

Bill Maher did this excellent piece about not letting politics cut you off from family. What’s happening with the two sides pulling further and further apart is exactly what happens prior to a hot civil war, and Maher is a surprising force against that, if unknowingly. I haven’t heard him mention how the country’s divide will inevitably lead to that, but he seems focused on how it just is cutting off your nose to spite your face to let politics ruin your family relationships and friendships.
He walks the walk too, being friends with people like Ben Shapiro. He has shown real growth in the past 8 years too. I remember when he said we need the economy to go bad so Trump won’t be elected, but his attitude has done a 180 since then.
I could be a cynic and say he’s just following the country’s trend for his own enrichment and that might be true, but if it is he’s doing a great job fooling us, because I’ve watched hours and hours of his shows and he genuinely despises the far left, woke ideology, idpol, etc. Just like lots of Democrats, he hasn’t changed, but the Democratic Party has moved far left of him and they’ve lurched rapidly farther just these past 4 years.
Maher still hates Trump. He’s the one person I doubt he’d ever invite on his show which is a shame. If he did I bet he’d see him in a different light. But nobody is perfect and that’s Maher’s big blind spot.
