It looks like an old crash. But are landing lights on?
This is the only explanation I could find for it:
Khaichuin Sim, from Malaysia, picks up a win in the 'Rising Talent' category for this incredible image of a freediver with a plane wreck in Lang Tengah Island in Malaysia. He explains: 'The freediver's presence adds a human element to the scene, emphasising the spirit of exploration and discovery that drives us to unearth the beauty of the underwater world.'

fake?
why is everything so green except for the "free diver"?
-
Either fake,
Or the cameraman was using a light source that caused a reflection.
-
Maybe added some type of lighting for the pic but probably photoshopped.
-
Is it a photo or painting. If w photo, the "artist" photoshopped it.
-
It’s not fake because it was a photography contest. Here’s the contest results but this one is buried way at the bottom: https://www.tpoty.com/tpoty-winners-galleries/2024-winners/
I think they placed a couple of these into the empty cowling.

I found a bunch of other pics, apparently it was sunk rather than crashed. I found the guy’s Facebook post talking about the Letons.

Probably lights stuck on the propeller hubs. Not landing lights. Way too much marine growth to be a new wreck. But it is a cool picture on an old wreck. Sad to see a plane down any time, though.

Ah, good second picture. It's part of an artificial reef. Plane cleaned and sanitized for purposeful sinking. Note the frame underneath.

Yeah you got it. You can see the Leton in the first picture of the two in my latest post.

Yep that’s what I figured. Reef creation, but you couldn’t see the frame in the original picture.
