Title: Medal of Honor Controversy
Post by: Bamaflyer on February 04, 2025, 07:50:38 PM
I’ve read the book (good read) written by his sister and a former Air Force Combat Controller. These CCs go thru around 2 years of training, similar to Delta and SEALs and other special operators in the military. In the Middle East wars  they’ve been on teams of SEALs and other special forces. I’ve known a few of these guys when I was in the Air Force as they attend ATC school and sometimes work as controllers. I’ve had them work under me in a tower a few times. Navy tried to cover this up as it was embarrassment for the SEAL team that left him for dead when he was still alive. Now they’re doing it again. Good article, read the book, “Alone At Dawn”.

I read that.  Sad.  Slabinski doesn’t deserve the MoH.
