" Section 1. Purpose. The Second Amendment is an indispensable safeguard of security and liberty. It has preserved the right of the American people to protect ourselves, our families, and our freedoms since the founding of our great Nation. Because it is foundational to maintaining all other rights held by Americans, the right to keep and bear arms must not be infringed. "

Long overdue. EVERY gun law is an infringement.

That’s fantastic however a lot of gun control is at state and local levels. It’s a great start though.

True. But the US Constitution trumps (no pun) the states wrt things like the 1st amendment, 5th, etc etc etc
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Yes it does but the courts have blatantly ruled against the U.S. Constitution including SCOTUS.

Yet the courts have allowed illegal infringements to remain for decades. NYC s Sullivan Act comes to mind, which prohibits civilians from carrying a gun. That was passed in 1934, I believe.

And they have also held up Roe v Wade in the past too.
