DEI.

This began under BHO when he decided not enough minorities were getting hired into ATC jobs.  What once was a rigorous entry exam that few could pass, it was changed to asking questions such as what was your favorite HS sport.

The ATC Academy in OKC was at one time one of the hardest schools to graduate from.  Each week the students are tested on what was learned that week.  Score below an 80, the student was shown the door.   Now it's look the other way and spoon feed the applicants.

ATC people on position use to be pulled off for making errors and retrained.  No longer.   Now they want to make up their own rules, and they look at the JO 7110.65W as just a book that is too complicated.   Standard terminology?  Ha!

ATC is in a mess.  Up to 4,000 understaffed and what is working is greatly unqualified. That video doesn't surprise me one bit, I've witnessed worse.

That voice belongs to Brenda, formerly of the KDTO tower staff.

She is no longer there.

She gave me my first butt chewing as a student about 14 years ago because I did not hold short of Taxiway A. I was in the wrong.

This kind of thing was not a rare occurrence.  She was well known for doing berating pilots.

If she knew you were a student she should have cut you some slack. Nothing wrong with letting you know you messed up but a complete butt chewing from a controller is inappropriate in my opinion. Let your CFI do that off air.

Might have been different if you’d wandered onto an active runway in front of landing traffic.  I could more easily understand.

Yeah, on the air butt chewing is not appropriate.  A phone number then a lecture would be more effective.  Even better would be to leave it to your CFI as Rush said.
