I was fooled by this in 2005. Listened to it while making dinner and forgot what day it was. When my husband and stepdaughter came home I told them about it and they looked at me funny. “It’s April first, Becky.”

Still. One good piece of creative writing! A classic!!!

Back when they were building the stadium for the 1996 Olympics local radio host Neal Boortz pulled off an April Fools hoax by saying they had discovered dinosaur bones at the site and it was going to be shut down.
