Title: EAA Young Eagles
Post by: Becky (My pronouns are Assigned/By/God) on June 02, 2025, 06:00:14 AM
My husband made four flights on Saturday. They had 13 pilots and took up 139 kids, trying to infect them with the love of flying. Took Mom (97) out to watch for a while.

They do it every year about this time, Randy. Their youth build beginnings were destroyed by the Covid debacle and have not gotten going again. Is yours still going?

Our local EAA chapter is very much into youth aviation education.  Every year they have a one week camp where kids build aircraft, fly, learn about aviation, and visit the local national guard.  Seems like every month there's another Young Eagles event.  I finally went and did the training and submitted for the background check.  Seems like a good thing to do.

The chapter does theirs on the third Saturday every month.
