I have never heard of this guy Julian Dorey, who apparently quit Wall Street to become a content creator, but I’ve heard Mike Benz interviewed before, just never to this extent.
This is comprehensive: Tied everything together for me, since WW2. The whole growth of globalism, the problem with Milton Friedman (my hero in economics), why the left criticized corporatism, while I was on the right defending it. Turns out I was correct in my counterargument that it’s not free market competition that’s the problem, it’s government involvement with private corporations - aka corruption - involving covert CIA operations in foreign countries to “democratize” them but by inserting American corporations for the sake of shareholder profits, why sometimes that’s a good and necessary thing, but why it’s a bad thing - instead of honest competition companies globalize by cozying up to the state, and then move manufacturing overseas resulting in the hollowing out of the American middle class. We knew that’s what happens but we do not know the extent of the deliberate plots by our government to get these companies into countries for political and strategic reasons.
But ALL of this by describing in detail the “blob”, what it is, how it works, how it is actually an arm of the state department and how USAID was created to shield it, provide plausible deniability, launder the funding (which is all our tax money) and how it is all connected to Supreme Court justices, the DoD, national security (like it is not wrong per se - we DO need intelligence operations) but how it has metastasized into something way too big and in many ways outright evil. How this blob has developed censorship tools for other countries and are now turning them toward U.S. citizens, and the most critical connection of all, believe it or not, Congress, because it makes the budget, and how DOGE is cutting all this evil fat - it’s not just waste, it is what is funding the LA riots, THE SAME tactic the blob used in foreign countries to overthrow governments or sway elections - but now Congress does not want to codify the DOGE cuts. Illustrates the massively difficult job Trump faces attempting to trim this back.
It ties together Peter Zeihan’s masterpiece on how we got globalized, with our entire bureaucratic system, with my own youthful ideology with why the left criticized it with how it built boomer portfolios with why MAGA correctly sees it has crumbled America’s infrastructure and now become a beast that needs to be defeated and why “save democracy” is now the default chant for the exact opposite. They literally told foreign terror groups to rename themselves using the word “democracy” and that would make them qualify for USAID funding.
How the USAID vaccine clinics and HIV centers are all fronts for covert political machinations and he seems to have receipts for all of this. How it’s not Democrat or Republican, but a blob full of both, how who is president doesn’t even matter - we all hated things Obama did but he wasn’t even actually in control. Trump is the first to be actively trying to spray weed killer on this shit.
