Why is Vicente doing this? It doesn't seem like he would have anything to gain from doing this. As a matter of fact, it might shed a positive light on Trump for members of the Latin@ community. Strange.....

Fox is trying to undo the damage done. Foreign leaders do not see Trump as they do Obama.

Heard him interviewed on a local radio show this morning, typical leftist "apology". Explaining his apology to the host, he just reiterated what he supposedly needed to apologize for. He led a failed country and he has no leg to stand on. He's a fraud.
Other than that, welcome!

I caught President Fox on Ted Baxter's (O'Reilly's) show last night, unusual since I only watch for the Dennis Miller segment, and it was a weird but actually interesting interview.
I think Fox thinks he can change Trump's mind by taking him out into Mexico to see not everybody is bad, but Trump never said everyone in Mexico is bad nor did he say everyone coming from Mexico was bad (like how people think Palin said she could see Russia from her house, she never said it, it was Tiny Fey), so Fox is starting from a bad premise.
That said however, O'Reilly challenged him on several issues using Trump's actual statements and Fox agreed in large part and definitely struck a far more conciliatory tone than when he told the shit-stirrer Jorge Ramos he 'would not pay his F'ing wall'. Fox also seemed to acknowledge that among the issues involved is the situation within Mexico itself, but would get defensive over how small the trade deficit with Mexico is compared say to China.
I initially thought is was disingenuous like most political apologies, but I think he did actually mean it and was embarrassed for having said it so crassly, not necessarily for having said it.
Last night was actually the first time I have watched more than about 10 minutes of Fox News in months.

Great description of Jorge Ramos. I agree.

He is a putz, a tiny little man with a tiny and petty focus - everything is about race to him - must suck to be him.
Reminds me of the 'cursed' bit in Mummy Returns, just replace cursed with racism

As a dual citizen, did you ever notice that his accent becomes deeper and more difficult to understand (I.e. more Hispanic-sounding) when he's getting beaten in a debate?

I took it to be more when he moves away from canned phrases and such, he has to stop and think about what he wants to say/how he wants to say it - but it is noticeable.
