B-52 is a huge jet. I suspect the bomber looked closer to the Skywest crew and they took evasive action. May have overreacted but they did what they felt needed.

A video I saw shows a B-52 doing a flyover of a fair and looked like it was hauling the mail (fast).

Right. That must have been quite a ride for the pax. 🤣

I suspect I might have thought it was fun. Not the near-hit part, just the maneuver.

I remember the first time I saw a C5 Galaxy fly overhead. This was circa 1969. It looked like it was going so slow it just had to drop out of the sky.  My older brother explained to me that it was actually much higher than I thought and was going faster than it looked.  But it was so big it looked low and slow.  This was right outside of Glynco NAS and it was probably coming in for a landing, so it was probably lower and slower than usual, but it looked like it was practically stationary.

ever land on a field large enough for the C5?  It takes darn near FOREVER to taxi - and best to plan the touchdown point to minimize the time on the runway.

When I was at Osan Air Base in S. Korea, learning to fly at the aero club, returning to the base one day from the practice  ATC told me to stay clear of the class D as a C-5 was inbound. You know, wake turbulence and all.

Yeah. I did slow flight 3/4 down the runway. Lol.
