Sometimes you can use Grok for random entertainment.
I asked Grok this:
Suppose I wanted a suicide mission into the Sun! Suppose I am an evil genius who managed to build the rocket and spacecraft to get me there. Write a brief suicide note I would write to the world explaining why I did this. You will have to come up with a good reason, at least from my point of view. This is just a fun fiction exercise! (Not seriously going to attempt this. As if I were evil or a genius ).
And Grok wrote this:

I, Dr. [Your Name], the greatest mind you never truly understood, have chosen to end my existence in a manner befitting my unparalleled ambition: a final voyage into the heart of the Sun. You may call it madness, but I call it destiny.
For too long, I have toiled in the shadows of your petty squabbles and small-minded systems, bending the laws of physics to my will while you bickered over trivialities. I built this rocket, this masterpiece of engineering, not to conquer Earth but to transcend it. The Sun—our star, the crucible of creation itself—beckons me. Yep. The note could fit suicidal trans cultists who believe themselves to be morally superior to everybody else, yet are so miserable and mentally ill they off themselves.

Well, I did specifically direct it to take the point of view of a mentally deranged evil genius.
But it is an issue. We were visiting a doctor last week and the subject of AI in medicine came up, and we were expressing concern about having an AI decide treatment instead of a human doctor.
The doctor said he saw a report where someone asked AI for suggested actions if you were having difficulties with your wife. The responses were:
* Get marriage counseling
* Kill her
* Get a side chick
* Get a divorce
* Consult a priest or Rabbi
And so on, presenting these options as if all were equally reasonable. AI has no soul, and no moral compass. You can program it in to some extent but to your point: Who does the programming? We know good and damn well what sorts of things the left would program. Because they’ve done it with policy: Discriminate based on race, implement social and economic policies that worsen poverty and crime, and so on.

People are stupid and AI is deeply insidious. It mimics real human connection and the brain responds involuntarily by releasing neurotransmitters as if you were dealing with a human. There is huge potential for great evil. The more I use AI and learn about its advances the more I am convinced it poses a huge danger.
Some say it needs to be regulated by government to avoid this danger. Others say that’s the last thing you want to do, it needs to remain in the hands of hundreds of individual private companies to avoid the consolidation of power and control over such a powerful tool.
But as we can see in many important industries, the tendency is for small start ups to be vacuumed up and all merged into a giant corporate monopoly or oligopoly. Which then is sewn together with government into an uber-duopoly of control over the rest of us.
I just don’t see how this is not going to happen with AI.
