Dead at79.

Classy lady, hard working, humble, and prolific.

Loved her in the Godfather movies.

Wow, that's young!  I LOVED her in the Woody Allen movies.  Also Godfather.  I want to see the original Godfather again but can't find it on the streaming services I use.

It's rare that a celeb death affects me. But in this case, I'm saddened. Not really a gushing fan (of anyone) but I always thought she was "neat", and I'm as Conservative as they come.

I was just a huge Woody Allen fan back in the day, and some of those movies, especially “Annie Hall” were based on their real life romance. Keaton’s actual birth name was Hall, but she changed it to her mother’s maiden name when she got into acting because there was already another actress named Diane Hall.

They had broken up by the time they made that film but remained good friends and collaborators on several movies. That always fascinated me.

AH was the first "date" movie I saw, perhaps that's why DK's persona as Annie in that film (which is apparently very close to her "real life" personality) resonates with me. Never realized until many years later that my date was Jewish and I'm as white bread as they come. Politics/religion not even on my radar at the time. Much later I had a girlfriend who exhibited many AH traits.

The way he weaves his Jewishness into his movies in a comedic way, like he does everything, and the politics, being a commie rebel in a banana republic, poking fun at EVERYTHING. It was a great way to process my own nascent awakening about these sensitive subjects.
