Title: Melissa Attacks Jamaica
Post by: Number7 on October 26, 2025, 05:38:48 AM
The storm exploded last night passing through 140 mph sustained winds and moving so slowly that immense damage is underway.

Two relief organizations that I have great faith in have begun deployment staging. If you want to help, either going with them to help deliver relief on the ground, or through charitable donations, here is the information I have:

Samaritan's Purse:   https://www.samaritanspurse.org/donation-items/emergency-relief-supplies/
They always arrive first and stay longer. You can count on all your donation to be used for the intended purpose and they welcome volunteers, either in the US to help collect and load supplies for shipment, or in the damaged area to help deliver it to those most affected.

Then I also like:
International Disaster Emergency Service  https://ides.org/

They provide relief when disasters strike here in the US and work internationally with churches, mission partners, and our own international field workers.

I have worked with them for several years. Their HQ is in Indiana, but they have volunteers who come from everywhere.

Wonder how much cash the Clinton's are going to pocket while "sending aid"?
