In the Joe Rogan interview, Musk said his allotted time that he could be there had expired.
130 days as a special government employee (SGE) leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Under federal regulations, SGEs like Musk are limited to no more than 130 days of service in any 365-day period to avoid full-time ethics and disclosure requirements. DOGE was established on January 20, 2025, via executive order, and Musk's formal SGE role ended around late May 2025. After that, he contributed sporadically (about 1–2 days per week) until DOGE's full disbandment on or around November 23, 2025—eight months ahead of its July 2026 charter expiration—but those later efforts didn't count toward the SGE limit.

Correct. He also said the work is being continued by others. We see a lot of it on twitter from Datarepublicansmall(r) - that deaf girl.
