It is beyond me how anyone with an IQ over room temperature could vote for this person, or not vote against her.
Voting for a lying sack of shit, or just not voting against such a sack, or voting "nolo contendere" doesn't cut it.
-
It's almost as if some group of people have a bet on how stupid the voters are.
donald vs the doormat.
<sigh>
Looks like the DNC is running away with the title for the largest number of stupid voters. As an added bonus, the DNC will get the title of having the dumbest voters.
-
Awesome!!

It is beyond me how anyone with an IQ over room temperature could vote for this person...
She has a vag (allegedly) and will give people free stuff from our pockets. That's more than enough for just over half of the voting public.
-
Ugh. That most Democrats support her is one of the most disappointing and disgusting things I have seen in my country. That 42% of Republicans supporting Donald Trump is worse.

I'm not surprised by it. All they care about is the progressive agenda and giving out free stuff to buy votes. It doesn't matter if Hillary has a history of lying, most people will chalk it up to being a typical politician so long as they get their free stuff.

In 2008 Hillary won the WV primary with 67% of the vote. She garnered over 240,000 votes. In 2016 she got 36% of the vote getting just over 86,000 votes.
In exit polls, some 40% of Sanders voters said they would vote for Trump if Sanders is not the Democrat nominee.

If I was ever surveyed for an exit poll, I would lie to the survey just to mess with them.
iow - don't read too much into polls and exit surveys.

Sorry, but (obviously), I politely disagree.
I have said before that I could be a liberal. I believe in clean air, higher wages, better education, social safety nets etc...
The reason I don't "self-identify" as a liberal is because I have never seen a liberal that has any concept of how the market or the economy works. Their sole plan to pay for all of this is to "tax the rich". It would be redundant and preaching to the choir to explain why that won't work.
But at least I feel that Trump does have an idea of how the economy works. I think he understands that "revenue and expenses" is a balancing act. It does not merely raising revenue to meet any desired expense.
And with Trump as President and a Republican Congress, he won't have to "negotiate" as much on Supreme Court Justices, UNLESS he wants to appoint a liberal. Then he will HAVE to negotiate towards a more conservative appointment. Hillary would not be as "flexible" and would ONLY appoint liberals.

A requirement to actually being a liberal is not just to believe in clean air etc. It's the belief that Government must be the means by which we have clean air, etc.

Yeah, that too. I have worked for and contributed to several private ecological/environmental projects. I would do more, but when you get a group of those people together, the word "Republican" is used as a pejorative.
I also belong to a couple of groups that have social projects that we support. Most of the people in those groups are Republicans.
I donate one weekend a month to help habitat for humanity, but I only volunteer for projects that are aimed at a veteran.
The point is that I support these projects, but that old adage about "I'm from the government and I'm here to help" constantly rings in my mind. Government help means more red tape, more obscure rules and more strings. That is part of why I can't be a liberal. Their heart (the followers, not the leaders) might be in the right place, but the rational part of their brain is absent.
Actually, this has little to do with Trump. It is just me rambling.

Every good progressive would roll their eyes and say, "YEAH??? But she's OUR liar!!!"

That's what the Trumpkins insist Republicans do.

I and most other conservatives believe in all those things. The media, and our ultra progressive education system has just convinced you otherwise.

Exactly!

Trump vs Trudeau. Who would you vote for? Not voting is not an option. This is the decision Americans face. Hillary/Bernie = Trudeau.

False premise.
There will be other candidates. And in an election year where every rule of political calculus has been violated, and you have two candidates with higher negatives than Ebola, one of those other choices is the way to go.
If you vote for Trump, you're taking a vote away from someone who is far more qualified for the job than either Trump or Hillary.

No, it is not Jeff. Nice try at evading the question. A vote for a third party is a throw away vote. It is between Trump, who is questionable in some of his policy views, and two avowed far left, radical Communists. One admits it, the other does not but says things like she is going to fully destroy the coal industry, and their jobs.
So which is it? Or are you going to chicken out again?

Again, your premise is false. I'm not chickening out, I'm quite clearly challenging your false premise.

Not really. If they had convinced me of that, then I probably would be a liberal because I still think those things can be had, as long as we have an economy that is robust enough to pay for it. (And that doesn't mean that the government has to pay for it). In a healthy economy, the majority of people can afford to pay their own way.
But the media has convinced many people otherwise. That is why there are so many Ds.

It seemed that you were saying only Liberals were for the list of items you presented. In my experience, that is not true. The liberal mantra is that Republicans and conservatives want dirty air, and dirty water, and hate the poor, hate gays, etc. Not true at all.

Yeah, I can see how I worded that poorly.

It's not a throw away vote and it's not chickening out. Standing by your principles is hardly chickening out.

That is not true at all in the current system. A vote for a third party, especially conservative or libertarian is a vote FOR HILLARY. It is simple math.
-
We keep going over this. Continuing to say this stuff doesn't make it anymore true and the attempts to bully and guilt trip people into voting for Trump only convinces current anti-Trump people to be even more anti-Trump. Give a convincing argument that Trump should have my vote that's not "or else Hillary wins". There's a reason many people are against Trump and it isn't because Cruz lost. A lot of people believe that there is little difference between Trump and Hillary.
As for math, it is quite simple. If I go into the booth and pull the lever for Trump, I've voted for Trump. If I go into the booth and pull the lever for Hillary then I've voted for Hillary. If I go into the booth and do not pull the lever for Trump or Hillary then I have voted for neither.
I'll say this again as well: When Cruz lost it was because Cruz didn't run a good campaign and didn't earn enough votes to get the nomination. If Trump loses the general election it will be because he didn't earn enough votes to win the presidency. It will not be my fault for not voting for him. If it's Cruz's fault for not winning the nomination then it's Trump's fault if he doesn't win the White House.
Trump needs to earn my vote and so far he hasn't done that. There's still a lot of time left.

Trump hasn't even tried to earn my vote. In fact, he even said he doesn't need it.
Good luck with that.

And the constant over-the-top, made up, imaginary, fear inspired anti-Trump rhetoric only entrenches the Trump supporters even more.
And yes, we keep going over it because we disagree on it.
It is simple.
If Trump gets more votes than Hillary, he wins. ie, if he doesn't get enough votes, Hillary wins.
If Hillary gets more votes, she wins.
As far as guilting anyone into anything, that can't happen unless you don't want Hillary to win. If you don't want her to win, and if you (and enough others) don't vote for Trump, then she wins. And you should feel guilty.
But if you don't care if Hillary wins, then there is nothing for you to feel guilty about.
It's not really about whether a non-vote is a vote for Hillary or not. It is about who gets enough votes to win.
But all this whining about how a non-vote is not a vote for Hillary IS your guilty conscience showing. Otherwise you would just admit that you are good with Hillary, in which case there can be no guilt.
Do you want Hillary to beat Trump? It is a "yes" or "no" question.

I've got the solution to your problem: compulsory voting!

I don't have a problem.
I have agreed that a vote for Trump is not the same as a vote for Hillary. What I have said is that if you don't want Hillary to win, and you don't vote for Trump, then you are giving an advantage to Hillary.
Conversely, if you want Hillary to win, but you don't vote for her, then thank-you; you are giving Trump an advantage.
Just because one feels guilty that they may help allow Hillary to win if they don't vote for Trump doesn't mean I shouldn't encourage everyone to vote against Hillary (ie, for Trump). I can't help it if someone feels guilty. I can't inflict guilt on anyone. People can only accept their own guilt.
As for compulsory voting, I would prefer the opposite. I believe everyone should earn the right to vote through a demonstration of knowledge and initiative. If you don't care enough to go register yourself or arrange to get yourself to the polling place then you shouldn't vote. If you have no idea who or what you are voting for, then you shouldn't be able to vote.
I think voter ID should absolutely be required and it should be free.
