That's a cool looking airplane. 8 hours plus reserves isn't too bad either. I didn't see anything about a price tag though. $1.5-$2 million?

Probably.  They'll be selling most of them to military buyers I imagine.

What? No T tail??? Diamond is slipping. Looks like they are just copying everybody else except in carbon fiber.

If it had a V Tail, i'd be interested.

A backwards one would be better. :D

A plane with the speed and efficiency of a Mooney and the space of a Bonanza would be awesome.

Just for comparison purposes, I get around 166 TAS at less than 12 gph (lop).  What kind of TAS/gph does a Mooney get?

160TAS on 10.5 GPH.  I've been in one that did 161 at that setting.

I get about 145 KTAS on about 8gph. I have a C model, 180HP carbuerated.

That's pretty good.  When I bought avgas at $2.xx the other day, I was happy, but when I have paid $7-$8/gal I wished I could get a little better mileage (knottage?).

It's certainly not bad but I wish it was faster. :D

I haven't flown in a while so I haven't looked at AVGAS prices recently but I just looked it up and it's still sitting at around $5.50 here. A nearby airport has it for $4.20. I'm jealous of your low prices.
