Title: Cirrus VK-30 EXP crashed near LA

According to this was a wire strike. 4 souls. RIP.

There were six of them registered, I guess down to 5 now.

I've never even heard of this plane.  A pusher prop Cirrus?  Have all of them crashed?

It was sold in kit form and was a precursor to the Cirrus.  Never were very many, and I think he losses are reflective of what happens to high performance singles.
