You could live in a place like the UK where expressing an unsavory opinion can get you criminally charged. Sounds like abuse of process and legal harassment to me.

Outrageous!  People should revolt and let their government know that it's unacceptable.

There is a reason the U.S. separated from England is obvious.  A country that disarms it's populace, and does not recognize the basic right of self defense, even if someone breaks into your home is not a free society.  They are subjects, not citizens.
