I met Bob Hoover when the port district I worked for put on a air show. I was not impressed with his character. Let us presume that we all have imperfections which in no way, for the most part, negate our laudable accomplishments.

Just read his book, which you most likely have, "Yeager".  The guy never made a wrong decision, and he always knew better than everyone else.  I thought Scotty Crossfield was one of the greats, but never got the accolades like Yeager.
