They are desperate to undo the 2016 election and everything since.
There are actually people that believe if Trump is removed Hillary will be sworn in and take her rightful place. Never mind that pesky constitution.

No, I don’t think that is their endgame. They want power, but Pelosi is a leader to only about 120 Democrats. If you talk to the average Democrat, they are probably more interested in AOC or Bernie than Pelosi.

Why would anyone listen to, or follow Maxine Waters, AOC, and many other whacko Democrats? At least Pelosi is the Speaker, and has a legitimate role in her party. Yeah, she's whacky too, but still.

My original point is that by the Dems trying to implicate Pence in the bogus impeachment crap, the successor to the Presidency is Madame P.

The strategy in that case is to do a Nixon and replace Pence with someone else so if both Trump and Pence are ousted then there is no danger of a Madame P. presidency.

They're also trying to implicate Barr as well. Same with Kavanaugh. They want a wholesale house cleaning to erase 2016.
Remember, the Speaker of the House doesn't have to be a congressman. The speaker can be anyone selected by the House. So who's to say if this twisted fantasy proceeds and it looks like they can get rid of Trump/Pence that at the last moment Nancy steps down, the House selects Hillary as the new Speaker and..............surprise!

I hear zero talk about the Republicans retaining the Senate next year, yet I believe the GOP has more seats to defend than the democrats in 2020.
Either there is total confidence the GOP will retain control, or complete ignorance as to the fact that they could easily lose it.
If the GOP loses the senate, the country is done. No, that’s not hyperbole. Trump will be convicted, 60 million Trump voters will be completely disenfranchised, and those 60 million hold most of the firearms.

I look at the seats up for reelection and I don't see a lot of change happening. Maybe Maine and Colorado are problem for the Republicans, but Alaska might be a problem for Democrats. Otherwise they seem to be pretty solidly red or at least pink states.
If the Dems win, they've given the perfect example of how to resist - lawyer up and challenge everything that moves with 10 or 20 lawsuits.
