I think he comes across that way on purpose, becasue he knows it sets people off, which amuses him. A show of power that he can and will say what he wants, and he won't allow others to censor him.

I agree with Bob. I am glad he uses twitter to get his point across. I just wish he didn't sound like such an idiot when he does it. He often causes me to wince and I can't believe he ever gets anyone to change their minds. He just solidifies the opposition in their hatred for them Just like most of you guys here when someone says something you disagree with.

Trump could tweet kitten memes and the left would still hate him for it. Nothing he says or does, short of resigning would ever appease them.
He has been masterful in getting them to come out an expose themselves.
As far as your last sentence? Again, it's the same effect. Their hatred will not be appeased. How many times have we seen them demand others to submit to their ideology?

Sometimes I wince at what he says but I’m also glad he is so blunt. I think it was badly needed because the politician class has become so elite and insulated from us normal people, they lost all touch with us. Trump’s tweets are refreshingly un-aloof. He’s a real person, not a crafted suit with every word and mannerism designed to manipulate us. With his tweets we KNOW it is straight from him, no filters, no speechwriter, no advisors counseling him on what to say and how to say it. Most of all no mainstream media to filter, spin and reverse his message.
As for solidifying the hatred against him, I don’t think that’s possible. Those who hate him are already deeply lost in it. Maybe his tweets help trigger them to do stupid stuff. They’re part of the rope he gives them to hang themselves with.

The biggest sin President Trump commits is acting like a normal, hard working, alpha male. The pussy contingent, which is pretty much everyone that is busy criticizing him, is far to feminized to appreciate a strong male.
If the snowflakes would go back to humping each other up the butt, smoking crack, abusing opioids, popping out kids they have no intention of taking care of, and generally being worthless parasites, the rest of us could go back to concentrating on making a living, paying our taxes, raising out children, and actually enjoying our lives. The fucking left is so unhappy they can't imagine allowing anyone else a minute of peace.
For those outraged because the President speaks plainly, I say, suck it up, buttercup. I simply don't fucking care.

It is more sad that 98% of the Media support DEMOCRATS and their Far Left Progressive agenda. They are supposed to be objective and neutral. Ha! I don’t agree at all. At the beginning I did cringe when he tweeted some things. Then I saw the 24/7/365 assault against him by virtually all media, and all liberal politicians, most of which was unfair and false.
What is he supposed to do? Sit there and take it? That’s why GWB became a punching bag. He NEVER fought back. And the democrats had their way with him. It infuriated me, because every attack against Bush was an attack against me as a conservative.
I feel the same thing when people attack Trump. Those assaults are a DIRECT attack against conservatives too. When CNN is calling Trump a racist, sexist, homophobe, or whatever else, they are calling me that as well. I won’t stand for it. So when Trump tweets something, I now am enthused by it. He changed my mind. I also believe that in many ways by his tweets he is playing 3-D chess while the democrats are playing checkers.

OMG - sit there and take it? Of course not. Anyone who thinks that President Trump should be a punching bag is a complete f'n idiot. (too subtle?)
But, President Trump doesn't have to act like a 12-year old when responding to the barrage of lies and crap from the media and its party leaders. President Trump doesn't have to sink to the depths of media. It's not a binary solution space.
I don't have the diplomacy and social skills needed (after all, I were a engineer before I retired). But even I recognize that President Trump could across better with some class and wit. Compare the typical President Trump tweet with some of President Reagan's classic lines.
