Title: Best and Worst Superbowl ads
Post by: President-Elect Bob Noel on February 03, 2020, 04:15:28 PM
Anyone have thoughts?

None of them were particularly good.  However, I did like the groundhog day ad using Bill Murray.

Bloomberg's ad was, of course, crap (no surprise)

I must be getting old, because I thought most of the ads were a blur of PC, Woke, SJW activity that made no sense to me.  Just rapid fire, seemingly LSD induced images.  Weird.

The Bill Murray Jeep Rubicon commercial was the hands down, no contest, best commercial of the day.

Most of the rest were moral preening, SJW messages like “Secret - Kick Inequality” as if girls on a men’s football team = equality, or Michelob Ultra Gold - buy a six pack and they will convert 6 square feet to organic. The problem is that means we have to buy 7,260 six packs of that piss water to convert a single acre to organic.  Has anyone told AB that organic fields are less than environmentally friendly?

Next year we'll need to either play a drinking game (every time there is some pc bs) or buzzword bingo.

I didn't think any of them were particularly funny.

Even my wife, the liberal, was offended by the OLAY ad showing an all-woman astronaut crew flaunting beauty products.

That’s what that was?  I never watch sports but the ads were being forced onto me as I was trying to watch YouTube videos of baby monkeys being weaned by their mothers (hilarious).  That woman astronaut thing came on and I’m like wtf is this garbage??? Get out my face! And I hit “skip ads” repeatedly until it was gone, never did see it to the end it made me gag from the very start.
