I recognize most of those names.  They were all banned from POA and in response decided to run for President.  Either that or they're starting a Medicinal Cannabis Shop in New Jersey.

I recognize Bill Weld, who was the VP candidate on the 2016 Libertarian ticket. Prior to that he was a Republican governor. The only reason the Libertarian party accepted him to the ticket was because he was allegedly connected to deep pocket political donors (and Gary Johnson insisted.) Unsurprisingly that source of funds didn’t pan out. Worse, he was so much “anybody-but-Trump” that he managed to enrage many libertarians when he said he was "not sure anybody is more qualified than Hillary Clinton to be president of the United States," basically endorsing Hillary Clinton over his running mate. So besides still being rabidly anti-Trump and pissing off libertarians, he was unwelcome by many Libertarians and returned to the Republicans just to run against Trump.

Wow. I don’t understand any conservative or libertarian who says any Democrat would be better than Trump. Joe Walsh (the politician, not the rock star) said he would endorse any of the current Democrat candidates against Trump despite being a conservative and even a Tea Party activist and apparently supporting many of Trump’s policies. Really? You would support socialists who will bankrupt this country and let in a flood of illegals even though you want strong borders, and are opposed to government healthcare?

So basically, you hate the man so much that you would betray all your own principles and sacrifice the American peoples’ prosperity rather than see Trump re-elected.

That is truly psychotic Trump Derangement Syndrome. At least the left can defend their hatred of him on their own ideological foundation, but this is incomprehensible.

I can understand it.

At the beginning of the GOP primary season in 2015 I would have thought almost any Democrat would be better than Trump (with the exception of Hillary). At first, I thought he was only running to sabotage the Republican ticket, or best case, I thought he would govern like a Democrat.  There was only one other contender in the primaries that I liked less than Trump.

But when it came down to Trump and Hillary I voted for Trump because at least he said the things I wanted to hear, weather I believed him or not.

But guess what?  He won, and he delivered on those promises.  Looking back, it's hard to believe how much I didn't like him at the time.  I still don't think he is perfect, but I now think he may be the best President we ever had.  Even if I don't really like him as a person.  I would rather go out for a beer with Clinton or Reagan or JFK, or . . . just about anybody.  But Trump is the only chance we have to fix the downward spiral we were in.  Can he do it?  Ask me again in December.

I just can't shake the feeling/suspicion that the DNC and RNC  got together and bet who could come up with a worse candidate for the 2016 election.

The DNC won.

My guess is that Trump is so anti Establishment that he angers both Republicans and Democrat whom are invested in the current structure of government and the bureaucracy, I call "The Gravy Train".  However, I don't see Trump dismantling that as look what he has done with the military/DOJ and their funding.

I followed the exact same trajectory as you. I can understand it back then, but I can’t understand it today. Walsh was the reverse of you and me, he supported Trump back then.  Something happened in the interim to turn him against Trump, even in the face of all the good Trump is doing. Supposedly he didn’t like some of Trump’s cabinet nominations and he didn’t like whatever Trump did at the Helsinki summit with the Russians. He calls him “dangerous”. Apparently he thinks Trump will end up getting the U.S taken over by Russia, but apparently he thinks Hillary would be a diplomatic success handling Russia. It’s mind boggling. It’s like he bought the whole MSM - Democrat Russia Russia Russia fantasy hook line and sinker. What tea party conservative does that?

His comments seem to imply he just thinks Trump is evil. Well, I myself say Trump is likely a narcissist. So what? Many, if not most, high level politicians probably are high on the narc spectrum. How else do you presume yourself fit to lead millions of other people? Pot kettle, if that’s the case.

Something else must have happened here, some personal slight. I’d agree with Anthony above about the gravy train but Walsh doesn’t seem to be well plugged into that, he’s practically broke according to wiki. Maybe he was hoping Trump would give him a lucrative position to fix all his money problems and Trump didn’t come through.

That's what I don't get, people now vote personalities and not issues. I could care less about Trump the person, and what he is like one on one. I care deeply about all the good things Trump the President has done for our country.

Even crazier, they vote gender and race. And you’re a sexist, racist rube if you say that doesn’t make sense. Bonkers.

And with Buttigieg, people are actually voting based on sexual orientation. Bizarre.

Whatever Walsh’s reasons for hating Trump, he’s going to be branded a lunatic unless he can articulate and defend them effectively.
