Well as we all know, the groundspeed was supersonic, but the airspeed wasn't.  I was on a flight like that once going west to east across the entire U.S.  The Jet Stream was really cranking.

We had a lower level flight like that once going west to east where our little bugsmasher was screaming along and we could pretend we were a jet.  ;D
