Most Americans believe stopping the virus should be the U.S. government's top priority, even as social distancing measures ravage the economy.

You can already see the cracks forming, and people are starting to push back. The numbers aren't coming out anywhere near the dire predictions. Fauci has said the shelter at home (lock downs) will stay in place until there are no more deaths or new cases, which, could be months away.
Just read this morning the 2 Navy hospital ships are basically not being used (just a handful of cases on each). More and more people are now bypassing the corrupt media and looking for themselves, and finding the stories are being highly exaggerated (gee, shocking huh?)

I went for a hike yesterday. Water, check, knife, check, fire making stuff, check, 9MM, check. I passed a woman on the trail and gave her a wide berth. She lifted her scarf over her mouth and nose. I thought to myself. "Yeah, that'll help". ::)

actually, there is a case to made for a homemade mask helping. It won't stop the virus from being inhaled, but it can help the hand/face discipline. If you don't touch your face, it is much less likely to get infected with COVID-19 or the flu or any such viruses. The mask, any mask, helps reduce the amount of face touching that happens.
