Proving the massive bias in the media, PBS “reporter” Yamiche Alcindor was heard happily exclaiming that the role of the press is to be Trump’s enemy.

Speaking to left-winger Ali Velshi on MSNBC on Sunday, Alcindor was heard crowing that attacking Trump is a “team sport” for the media. And she insisted that the whole of the press corps must align to the attack and must “have each other’s back” in opposition to Trump.
Alcindor was speaking about an example of the media’s ignorant treatment of the president during another contentious press conference on Sunday. Alcindor was whining that she didn’t get enough attention during the conference.
“I have to say thank you to Jeremy of CNN for giving me the opportunity to ask my second question. We know now that covering President Trump sometimes is like a team sport. We have to have each other’s back in the press corps and Jeremy had my back today,” Alcindor told the MSNBC host.

Yeah, I see the sarcasm, but often people that taut themselves as "Moderates" are often LEFTISTS IN DISGUISE. I used to listen to PBS and NPR in the mid to late 80's when I was still fairly new in the workforce being told by corporations that "supporting the arts" was a noble thing. I ultimately realized they were pushing a narrative and agenda in which I did not agree. It got old, and I turned them off.

Funny thing is, we don't see conservative news sources demanding the liberal sources be shut down. We also don't see conservative news sources trying to exclude liberal sources from attending news conferences.
We also don't see conservative groups like Media Matters. Remember, Media Matters monitors only conservative media, then organizers arrange boycotts of their advertisers.

I would be happy with more or less equal balance, but even more important, I would like schools and universities to be equally balanced again like they used to be. 50/50 liberal/conservative professors for example. It’s like the post I made about masculine/feminine balance. You need both.
Conservatives are about hierarchy and order. Liberals are about creativity and change. Too much of the former the system becomes ossified, too much of the latter, order disintegrates and the system can’t function. This is the core problem with “pure” communism by the way (the people own the means of production with no bosses ie: no hierarchical order); things just magically get done somehow. As we know that doesn’t work. In every human group there is some type of hierarchy, and where communism is tried you actually end up with autocracy. So paradoxically the most leftist of systems actually illustrates the worst outcome of too much conservative principle.
It should be obvious the outcome of too much liberal principle of change and new ideas: you can never actually implement something because the rules are always being revised. Any of us who has worked in engineering or construction knows what happens with constant unending changes; you have a terrible time completing a project, no matter how much “better” each new idea is. We see this too at all levels of government. We get a new president every four or eight years and they often undo whatever their predecessor did, for good or bad, it derails whatever the previous plan was trying to accomplish. But our country was founded on liberal principles. It was a backlash against an ossified aristocracy in Europe.
Where our country did thrive is that it began with a very small government that let people work out for themselves how to survive. They did this by self sorting into groups (farms or private companies) within which they imposed hierarchy and order (conservative principle), but to the extent they were open to new ideas and innovation and remained flexible (liberal principle), you grew a great and rich nation. What allowed this balance to happen by the way is liberty.
This principle of balance applies to everything which is why it’s a spiritual basic.
So yeah... what were we talking about?

I for one actually like FOX more now than I used to. I always accepted that they were right-wing by rationalizing that they were just about the only outlet that wasn't pure liberal spin. These days they are far more "balanced", although I would prefer that it wasn't a matter of some FOX commentators are right leaning and some are left. I would prefer they were all balanced.
The reason I participate on Thepilotsplace is exactly because I get a good chance to hear the liberal viewpoint and I get to comment without being ostracized.
But you are right about one thing. At this point in time, I do want the GOP to be firmly in control.

There is a difference in the people writing to programs and software that people use, network engineers; the pros. Then there are the people who install, troubleshoot, and plug in cords to computers, monitors, etc, the IT. Never been impressed with IT people I've worked with. Nothing that a well trained monkey couldn't do.
