Look at what is happening. Societal shutdown, economic collapse, and people not allowed to leave their homes, go to work, or live their lives. The Government steps in and says it will "take care of everyone". Due to the MEDIA, and Worldwide response, Trump is forced to go along. He knows that ignoring it would have been his unraveling and it is better to play along, and try to end it sooner rather than later.

A key coronavirus model has lowered its estimate of total U.S. deaths in its latest projection of how many will die due to the contagious virus.
The revision will likely fuel criticism from skeptics that initial projections were overblown, and one that government leaders may use to say that efforts to combat the spread are working.
The University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) lowered its projection of total deaths from 68,841 (with an estimate range of 30,188 to 175,965) to just over 60,308 (with an estimate range of 34,063 to 140,381) in an update published Friday.

No doubt the virus was a progressive "dream come true" and the response of the sheeple to obediently go along just encouraged them even more.
The next 30 days will be telling. If the "free states" (conservative) get back up and running, while the socialist states (liberal) continue draconian measures, then we are going to see a mass uprising at the polls come November, and not to the dims favor.
Remember some of these socialist states have a strong conservative demographic outside of the urban areas.

And states like PA that had a narrow margin for Trump have Far Left, Progressive Democrat Governors who have nothing to lose in drawing out the shutdown and making this hurt to unseat Trump by falsely blaming him.
