First, NO, the officer was not cutting off his breathing. Otherwise how was he talking and saying he couldn’t breath?
Second, I believe the officer was compressing his carotid artery and/or jugular, compromising blood flow to his brain and causing him to eventually lose consciousness.
The first couple of minutes it does appear he’s struggling and maybe they thought he was “resisting”, but he might have simply been in such discomfort he could not help moving. After he stopped struggling the officer remained on his neck for several more minutes which is unconscionable. Had I been there, I believe I would have tried to push the officer off the man. And ended up arrested.
No one can say what killed him until we get the postmortem. For all we know he had just OD’d and what the officer did had nothing to do with his death. Unlikely but possible. From footage elsewhere that showed what happened prior to him being on the ground as he gets out of his car, is cuffed and walked around, he does look drugged. Or he could have had a heart attack. It’s a bit premature for the news to report that that officer “killed” him.
There is NO excuse for burning AutoZone over this.
White people are also killed by police, by black police sometimes. This is not a racial issue. This is a “police state” issue. Making it about race does not address the real problem.
The officers deserved to be fired. No matter what the cause of death eventually is determined to be, their behavior was atrocious. It appeared (just my opinion) that the officer with the knee on his neck was power tripping, and became angry that the crowd was “trying to tell him what to do” and that made him stay on the man several minutes longer than necessary. The Asian looking officer appeared to have compartmentalized his duty to just keep the crowd back, and I sensed was submissive to the other and wouldn’t have spoken up if he thought the other was going too far. I saw a bit of doubt flash across his face. Like the captain/co-pilot situation at Tenerife. “Um... we aren’t cleared for take off...sir.”

While attempting to defend the local Target and prevent continued looting, one disabled woman in a wheelchair was brutally attacked by the violent rioters who were breaking and taking everything in sight. Jennifer, the victim of the attack, was actually there in solidarity with the peaceful elements of the protest, but when she saw things getting out of hand, she attempted to prevent further chaos from taking root.

Although technically I guess in states where you have "duty to retreat" the shop owner might be guilty. (Here in Texas we shoot looters.) Also I disagree when he says the cops should be charged already (without results of postmortem) but nevertheless I love his rant; he is spot on about the looters.
This guy recently signed a contract with Blaze TV I believe, even though he's not a conservative. I don't think he likes Trump but he dislikes Dems worse. He says he is an "anarcho-capitalist". I haven't watched enough of him to figure out his exact stance on everything but have enough to know he hates leftism. That's good enough for me so far.

Not much mention of looting. Even so, the reporter quoted one looter as saying you can repair windows, etc but you can't bring back the dead. So, I guess looting is ok then.

I am not anti-Trump, but I was sympathetic to the protesters, until they started looting and burning. Actions like that do more to ruin the great strides we have made in racial harmony of the past several decades than anything. It's really a shame on both ends (what happened to Floyd and the resulting rioting).

I’m not sure what Trump has to do with your statement, but you raise the point I’ve been saying. 99% of the country, including the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, believe it was murder. White, black, orange, yellow, and red people (did I get the full pallet?) believe it was horrific and would have backed the protestors.
Right up to the point where they turned violent, tortured and injured a wheelchair bound white woman, destroyed buildings, looted buildings, and every other violent action. At that point they turned into violent criminals, and should be treated as such.
I have no words to explain how the Police literally abandoned their precinct so it could be burned and destroyed. Not exactly acting like General Sam Houston at the Alamo.

I think the overall thought is to allow them to loot/burn/destroy and get it out of their system, then step back in and restore order. In the end the protesters will just come to realize that all they did was shit in their own house.

I always find it interesting that they loot, burn, rob, and destroy their own neighborhoods. But, the reality is that if they came out to the suburbs to do that, they'd be quickly met by very convincing resistance.

The ironic thing is the Reopen America protesters and the George Floyd protestors should actually all band together and protest the rise of the police state. Think how powerful that would be. That’s the core problem for both groups. But the rioters and looters are just a mindless mob cutting off their own nose to spite their face, and way too stupid to see it.

The killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis was merely a pre-text for radicals to push their ambitious insurgency. In a matter of hours, after the video of Floyd began circulating the internet, militant antifa cells across the country mobilized to Minnesota to aid Black Lives Matter rioters. Law enforcement and even the state National Guard have struggled to respond in Minnesota.
Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta are just some of the other cities waking up and finding smoldering ruins where businesses once operated. Nearly 30 other cities experienced some form of mass protest or violent rioting. At least three people have been killed so far.
Antifa, the extreme anarchist-communist movement, has rioting down to an art. The first broken window is the blood in the water for looters to move in. When the looting is done, those carrying flammable chemicals start fires to finish the job. Footage recorded in Minneapolis and other cities show militants dressed in black bloc— the antifa uniform — wielding weapons like hammers or sticks to smash windows. I do think the police have largely become used to stepping over their bounds. It is obvious with the way they dress and that many regular officers now dress like militarized SWAT members. They are armed revenue collectors trying to get as many people into the Judicial System as possible to generate revenue. However, if you are a hardened, violent criminal, you can get off with little or no jail time with Plea Deals. Just pay courts costs, fines, and lawyers fees. Madness.

the fuckers brought their riots to the suburbs near my house last night and discovered a sheriff that went on TV and warned antifa that people in our county own guns, know how to use guns, are encouraged to use their guns to protect their homes and neighborhoods.
