According to hospital officials in one of Italy's hardest hit regions, new infections of coronavirus in the country are showing a staggering decline in potency and the virus has become far less lethal. The head of the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan delivered the encouraging news in an interview with RAI television.
"In reality, the virus clinically no longer exists in Italy," said Alberto Zangrillo.
While lead health officials in Italy's government were calling for continued caution, Zangrillo detailed what doctors on the front lines were seeing in the latest testing.
"The swabs that were performed over the last 10 days showed a viral load in quantitative terms that was absolutely infinitesimal compared to the ones carried out a month or two months ago," he told RAI television.
This information would seem to explain the precipitous drop in infections and fatalities occurring in Italy throughout the month of May. It also corroborates the testimony of Matteo Bassetti, the head of infectious diseases at the San Martino hospital in the northern Italian city of Genoa.
"The strength the virus had two months ago is not the same strength it has today. It is clear that today the COVID-19 disease is different," Bassetti said.

If true, then it could be reasonably argued that the interventions put in place in the US were useful... specifically, efforts to slow the spread* got us to the point where the virility of COVID-19 has diminished.
A decrease in COVID-19 virility would be very good news. But, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's see if it is actually real.
*while many people talked about "stopping the spread", all we did was slow the spread (with the possible exception of some that were kept completely isolated).

At this point, we were lied to by the "experts". They used highly flawed models, made irrational decisions without any science to back up their actions. We have watched the massive flip flops by these so called experts. And what's worse, we've watched politicians using this to seize control.
They have lied about the numbers, and continue to do so. In reality, this was no worse than a bad flu season, and had it been dealt with professionally would have been barely a blip on the radar.

The initial intent of the Lock Downs and Social Distancing was to "flatten the curve", and slow the spread so our "healthcare system wouldn't be overwhelmed". It was NOT to avoid people from eventually getting it. Now we see that the healthcare system was not overwhelmed but was largely EMPTY during this "horrible Pandemic". If an honest post mortem (pun intended) were done on this virus response it would be seen as the largest Scam and Con in modern times, but that won't happen.

The 14 day "flatten the curve" was never intended to turn into a 2 month plus "lockdown". Even right now we have despotic mayors and governors still trying to extend the lockdowns based on zero science.
I hate these bastards and their handlers, this November it's time to clean house. And the ones not up for re-election, there are other methods (such as recalls).

The Lock Down is going to be a minimum 2 1/2 to 3 month ordeal or longer in some states as we will have "limited freedom" with the phased in approach. The Democrats and Media want to get as close to November as possible so the economic recovery will be delayed.

These viruses are always mutating. THIS IS WHY VACCINES ARE NOT THE ANSWER.
If they mutate into something stronger then they kill their hosts too quickly to spread. If they mutate in such a way as to NOT kill their hosts, then they become weaker and less lethal. Either way, it's a good thing.

Sorry. Can't agree. Vaccines are better than nothing and are most certainly part of the answer.. Sure, the flu vaccines that are available every year won't necessarily stop the latest variant, but that doesn't mean flu vaccines don't have value.
And I'll certainly keep taking the pneumonia vaccine every five years or so thankyouverymuch. My immune system is slightly degraded so I'm at increased risk.

Agree they are partially effective but they are way oversold. I’m talking about the flu vaccine not the pneumonia vaccine, that’s totally different. Influenzas and covid19 are RNA viruses. Vaccines are way less effective against them than vaccines against DNA viruses and bacteria.
