I find it surreal that Men could get off a landing craft and run into machine gun and artillery fire.  Unbelievable bravery and sacrifice.

“American Backed Allied Troops Destroy Pristine Beaches”

AP Newswire

Today, the American Backed Allied troops destroyed miles of pristine environment of what government leaders who wish to speak on anonymity “A huge environmental disaster”.

The reckless invasion to deprive the peaceful Nazi occupiers, who have rightfully reclaimed the land that was once theirs, will have ramifications for years to come.

“This is horrible!” exclaimed protesters as they started burning down neighborhoods in the US to denounce the imperialism of the rogue US forces.

Furthermore, through confidential sources, we have learned that US military commanders forced young black men to be the first out of the landing craft so the white troops would be protected.

My dad landed in Omaha Beach in D+1. He said fighting was still very close to the beaches, as in hundreds of yards. He carried an M-1 Carbine.

Wow, that is still unbelievably brave.  I own a WWII USGI Inland made M1 Carbine that I use regularly at the range and as an HD gun because it works but also as a nod to those guys.  My Dad was a dentist (Medical Corp) during and after the war, but only had to carry a sidearm as officer of the day.  LOL.  He didn't get anywhere near combat but was stationed in Germany post war 1945 - 1949 and saw all the destruction and strife first hand including the concentration camps right after they were liberated.
