I didn't seen this one coming. I guess "they" still feel threatened by her. I though the message with Epstein would have been enough. Hmmmmm..... I believe she is a British subject. She also had to know they'd eventually arrest her. Why stay in the U.S.? Why not take your money and go somewhere they can not extradite you?
Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime associate of the late Jeffrey Epstein, was arrested in New Hampshire Thursday, according to the FBI.
Maxwell, who lived for years with Epstein and was his frequent travel companion on trips around the world, was taken into custody around 8:30 a.m., said FBI spokesman Marty Feely.
An indictment made public Thursday said Maxwell “assisted, facilitated and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minor girls by, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse ” girls under age 18. She has long faced allegations of procuring underage girls for him, earning the nickname of Epstein’s “madam.” Reuters reported in December that the FBI was investigating Maxwell.
Maxwell was accused by many women of recruiting them to give Epstein massages, during which they were pressured into sex. Those accusations, until now, never resulted in criminal charges.

That's difficult to say. She was more on the supply side and not on the customer side. I don't know how much exposure she had to the "elite" customers. But to be on the safe side, yeah she will be suicided.

She's being arrested to shut her up. She could take down several high profile people. If the government was actually interested in what she knew, she would be placed in protected custody and kept in a secret location.

I doubt she will ever talk. Epstein's murder sent a very clear message to her and anyone else that would dare talk. In fact I am more surprised she was arrested and now put in more of a position to have to talk. If I were her, I would have disappeared after Epstein was arrested, and definitely gone underground after his murder.

The British socialite and former girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein is expected to fully cooperate with federal authorities. On Friday, officials announced Ghislaine Maxwell will be naming names and cooperating with the FBI in its ongoing investigation.
This came after Maxwell was arrested earlier this week on sex trafficking charges.
According to officials, “the world’s most powerful” people, including Prince Andrew, are very worried about what she might reveal. The prince has refused to testify in the past over his association with Epstein and Maxwell.
“So, you know, I’m just so tired of the excuses,” said attorney Gloria Allred. “The victims want the truth, they want the transparency, they want him to tell law enforcement what he knows.”
Meanwhile, Epstein’s former boss Steven Hoffenberg has stated that Maxwell knows everything and will totally cooperate.

Trump did have Epstein at Maralago once. That's where all the pictures are from. However, he later distanced himself from Epstein due to the rumors of young girls. Clinton did NOT, yet all they show are the pictures of Trump.

I’d like to know more details about this trafficking. Were they kidnapping 12 and 13 year old girls against their will and locking them up and forcing them to have sex with threats? Or were they luring 16 and 17 year olds with money or promises of modeling careers or introductions to famous rich people, and they came willingly, if naively? And now decades later see opportunities for large settlements? Are they calling consensual sex “rape” just because it’s statutory if they were under 18? I don’t see these scenarios equivalent. Not excusing luring girls of any age with false promises, but at the same time I have a problem calling consensual sex with a 17 1/2 year old a crime, when six months later it’s legal.
Don’t get me wrong, Epstein and his ilk are pigs. I don’t know much about what exactly he was doing. Was it all voluntarily transactional and only a problem because they were underage? Because there’s a lot of underage girls that would do it for money or the chance to hob nob with famous people, and be wined and dined around rich trappings.
Or were they physically separating these girls from their homes, for example, by flying them away in a private jet for “one night of partying, then I’ll fly you home” and then not flying them home and preventing them from leaving (because it was an island) and keeping them there against their will?

I believe that it's Option B. 16 and 17 year old girls were lured with various promises and then moved from massaging to sex incrementally. I believe that the girls also felt they had no choice. But I really don't know for sure. The few that know aren't talking or are dead.
I agree with you about the statutory rape laws. 17.9 is illegal, 18.0 is legal. I believe that some states have a rule that it's not statutory if the participants consent and they are within 3 years of each other. It's not right that a guy gets a sex offender rating if he does what he's been doing with his girlfriend for years and he turns 18 a week before she does. While I'm on the subject, there should be degrees of sex offending. Right now there's one label for all and stigma for all.
