The New York Times, which first reported on the seizure Thursday night, said the Justice Department subpoenaed Apple for phone data of Democratic lawmakers and their aides and family members, one of whom is a minor, to find out sources of media reports about contacts between Trump associates and Russia.
So, Trump was trying to defend himself against what the Dems did to him FIRST - weaponize DOJ and FBI to go after his campaign using warrants gotten by lying to the FISA court, about Russia (which of course came to nothing) and continued relentlessly attacking him his whole term, and you have a problem with him trying to out these people? They were inventing lies and violating the constitutional rights of countless citizens. You have a problem with trying to gather evidence and hold them accountable for that?

I checked both stories very, very widely. I don't believe it unless it's getting reported by outlets on both sides of the divide. I see lots of stuff on this site that just smell, they're reported by right wings blogs and no one else. Critical thinking 101, something you lot could use.

I never look at MSM. Don't care about them at all. I miss Al Jazeera, even though I didn't like the sponsor they had no dog in our hunt. My favorite right now is NPR. They're less rapid than most.
The funniest thing is Fox News became my favorite fact checker off this site. So many crap things were getting posted, I'd check them on Fox News. Say what you will, they still support journalism. If it wasn't there it failed the smell test. I don't believe stuff just because I like the conclusions, I have to see stuff backed up.
The saddest thing I've witnessed is the belief by so many Americans that Trump had the election stolen. There is zero evidence for it other than Trump saying so himself, and he always says that stuff when he looses.
I fear we're about to lose our democracy. You guys will like it because the GOP will be large and in charge, permanently so. You will also like it because you'll be able to kiss my hairy pale fat ugly six goodbye. I won't stay here after we lose the government to neofacism.

His election was actually a rejection of the traditional GOP. However, the Democrat Party has now been taken over by a cabal of far left authoritarians yet you Democrats have failed to do what the Republicans did and reject the corrupt elite in your own party.

Trump didn't drain the swamp, he infested it. Laws have been passed in a number of red states allowing the GOP lead legislatures to overturn the popular vote. The GOP has become a monolithic aggregation of angry white men.

Well as far as my limited search into this, the language typically says stuff like, “you need an ID”, or “ballots must be received by x time and day”, and so on. Nothing, absolutely nothing, about “you can’t vote if you’re black” or “you can’t vote if you’re poor” or “you need to score at least 120 on an IQ test to vote” or “you need to own property worth more than $500k to vote” or anything else specifically restricting any class of people from voting. As far as I know the only restrictions are you must be a citizen, at least 18 and not a convicted felon. Of course the Democrats call all of those discrimination and are trying to eliminate those restrictions.
