Don’t think I’ve heard of Matt Walsh. I’ll add him to my “listen list” although he seems a bit too far right for me. But that’s a good thing, I like to hear ALL points of view.

My “listen” video list is because I pipe the audio into my ears while I do housework and don’t really watch them with my eyeballs.  Right now it consists of:

Steve Lehto:  Great legal fun. He does a good job not getting political at all but if I had to guess he’s a Democrat. Probably the traditional centrist kind, not far left.  His talking style makes the most boring subject fun.

Dr. Todd Grande:  Analyzes true crime cases from a psychological perspective. Again, most likely Democrat, but again does a fairly good job keeping politics out of it. Always presents all points of view before giving his opinion of guilt or innocence.

Russel Brand: Might be the only true leftist I can tolerate. He has stated that he is a “left leaning anarchist”.  His talks make it very clear he’s not a fascist authoritarian. He is very against the current global power structure although he often frames it more of a problem of corrupt capitalism rather than government over reach. He has come out and stated that he is NOT a Marxist, nor a communist and that he is opposed to centralized concentration of power in any form, and recognizes that today’s globalism is exactly that.

However he fails to provide suggestions for a workable alternative. He seems to oppose any economic system based on profit motive. His description of utopia is having power and control in the hands of the closest local entity down to the individual (so far so good…) but then states that those individuals should act out of pure altruism- and that right there is the fatal logic flaw of so-called “pure” communism. There is absolutely no way to implement such a thing and he’s got a big blind spot right there.

But, here is his saving grace, he actively engages and open mindedly considers all viewpoints, including the far right, and does so without any animosity. This is very rare indeed, especially from a leftist.

Because he is not American, I cut him a little bit of slack in not really grasping our concept of constitutionally guaranteed God (not ruler) given rights, and free market enterprise. But it seems he might be evolving which is the sign of a thinking person, not a lemming.

Jordan Peterson:  Listening to him requires a lot of mental bandwidth, he’s in the intellectual stratosphere. I hope I don’t need to tell you guys where he stands.

Last but not least:

Styxhexenhammer666 ON RUMBLE not Youtube! He can’t put the best content on YouTube due to censorship. He best represents my own ideology although I don’t completely agree with him on everything. He’s an anti-globalist free market libertarian. He’s a bit repetitive is my only complaint. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard him say he thinks the Wu Flu got released by some janitor selling used up lab monkeys to the wet market. I know already! But I forgive him because his analysis is pretty brilliant; he has a broad grasp of global politics and culture and history and how it all fits together to explain things going on today.

I like that he’s a younger guy, you can’t accuse him of being a sentimental old white man yearning for the good old days of constitutional freedoms.  He voted for Obama twice!  Although I don’t think he regrets it, he is still very opposed to GW Bush. But he certainly doesn’t support Obama, the Clintons or the Democrat party in its current incarnation.

He is a strong Trump supporter and believes populism is the right direction to go in, and I like his cautious optimism. He calls us people who think the U.S. is fatally fucked as having swallowed the “black pill”. He says secession is not the answer, but rather for Republicans and populists to become active from the ground up in local elections as the best way to counter growing federal jackbootery.

Anyhoo, so yeah, Matt Walsh. Will check him out.

Rush,

Matt Walsh is part of the great group of young conservatives that are part of the Daily Wire, including Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles, and Andrew Klavan (not a young guy).

I get enthused listening to young people who share my beliefs, and have different takes on them.

For example, he states in the above episode I think that Conservatives can’t focus on one guy (Trump); they need to focus on ideals.

You can get the Daily Wire app.  It’s free to listen, but if you want to watch, you have to subscribe.

I am thrilled when young people are either conservative or libertarian, either way rejecting leftism. After being indoctrinated in public schools it's a wonder any of them are, but the internet, as censored as it tries to be, is still wide open enough that kids today are exposed to far more ideas than in the past. In the past they'd have to go to the local library and find books.  I understand Candace Owen started out a leftist but had a brain and eventually got cured of it.

Matt Walsh lives in Tennessee, which is where the Daily Wire is based, after founder Ben Shapiro left California for Nashville.

He wanted to speak at the Louden County Virginia school board meeting, but they changed the rules to only allow residents.

One of his listeners lives in Louden County, and leased an apartment to Walsh for $1, so Walsh was able to speak at that meeting. He spoke about being a proud Virginia resident, and the freedom of being state fluid (ridiculing of course the lgbt bullshit about being gender fluid.). Very funny stuff. I like his dry sense of humor.

I listened to that part and was glad he got in. He is of course right that if the school accepts federal funds we all, at least those of us that pay taxes, should have the right to speak at their board meetings.  If they were only funded locally that would be different.

I happen to disagree with his definition of marriage, but you know I am for gay marriage, so that shouldn’t be a surprise. What I am against is everyone characterizing gay rights as a leftist issue. If you’re a good communist you are for gay marriage and vive versa.

Marriage isn’t, in my opinion, based on reproduction. It’s based on making a lifelong commitment to someone, usually a romantic and sexual partner. Reproduction is a side effect of sex. Yeah yeah I know, the biological point is reproduction. Most of the time that’s not what we are thinking about when we have sex.

Companionship, pooling of economic resources and sharing household duties necessary for survival are other reasons for marriage, very very strong reasons. It’s true that for a large portion of married couples, having children is one of the goals of their union. But without that you still have a marriage. He gives the example of infertile couples, but there are many heterosexual couples who choose not to have children. Their marriage is no less valid. Therefore I see no reason to consider same sex marriages any less valid.

Mark Levin pretty good too. He’s on our local conservative radio, plus he makes appearances on Fox.

I used to listen to Mark Levin a lot, but I hated leaving every show pissed off.  I don’t know how he hasn’t kicked off from a heart attack, since he’s had one already.

Me too!  I like to listen to him but sometimes I don't like being revved up to that level.

A new one I discovered today is Aaron Clarey.  He does something called "Asshole Consulting" where you come to him for help and instead of giving you worthless feel good coddling, he gives you a dose of reality.

I just listened to this one while I ironed my husband's shirts:

My brother is a huge fan of Steve Deace. He’s on the Blaze media, but I’m not a Glen Beck fanboy, so I’m not on the Blaze. Not sure if you can get Deace’s podcasts elsewhere.
