CNN is absolutely salivating over the prospect of the government further regulating social platforms. There’s the issue of censoring political parties but then there is the issue of censoring everything. For instance:
Take the example of a report published by the Journal on September 16 that highlighted internal Facebook research about a violent Mexican drug cartel, known as Cartél Jalisco Nueva Generación. The cartel was said to be using the platform to post violent content and recruit new members using the acronym "CJNG," even though it had been designated internally as one of the "Dangerous Individuals and Organizations" whose content should be removed. Facebook told the Journal at the time that it was investing in artificial intelligence to bolster its enforcement against such groups.
Despite the Journal's report last month, CNN last week identified disturbing content linked to the group on Instagram, including photos of guns, and photo and video posts in which people appear to have been shot or beheaded. After CNN asked Facebook about the posts, a spokesperson confirmed that multiple videos CNN flagged were removed for violating the company's policies, and at least one post had a warning added.
The problem with banning violent content is this: Do we really want the government and media scrubbing truth off public platforms? These drug cartels are importing violence to the U.S. yet mainstream media is not reporting it. The public should see pictures of beheaded victims. They should have their noses rubbed in it. They need to see in full color the consequences of no border security caused by open-border Democrats. When you sanitize public platforms you enable the public to be blissfully ignorant and you only drive the criminals underground where they are harder to find and catch.
Do we really want Facebook banning pictures of guns? What about law abiding citizens posting pictures of their collection? Any censorship at all opens the door to bias. Unfortunately the result of these revelations about Facebook is going to be more, not less, censorship, and certainly any “right wing domestic terrorist” group such as parents that go to school board meetings is going to be targeted.
Are we really stupid enough to think these revelations will lead to less discrimination against conservatives?
The censorship of terrorist posts is already unevenly applied, such as Twitter banning “Jan 6 terrorists” yet letting the Taliban remain. If we call for more censorship in the name of “the children” it will only be applied more unevenly. This is why total free speech is the only right way. Just like the Constitution says and we at Pilotspin know.

I have to say this: I find Mark Zuckerberg physically repulsive. Is that bad of me? Shaming someone for their physical appearance? Steingar should come yell at me. I bet if he changed his hair style, grew some carefully managed facial hair, and quit being a narcissistic robotic billionaire control freak, maybe I’d find him better looking.

I save bacon grease! And my mother always saved aluminum foil, and bacon grease. Wasting bacon grease is a sin.
I’d like to know if that is a genuine fact check because that right there would confirm that a bunch of ignorant young urban whippersnappers who don’t know shit are doing this so called “fact” checking. Hopefully somebody just made that up.

My Mom always saved the aluminum foil and bacon grease along with a lot of other stuff. She and Dad were married in the middle of the Great Depression and lived on the farm. Some of those kids doing fact checking outta get out more. They might accidentally learn something.

Again you beat me to it. My mother always saved both bacon grease and aluminum foil, and almost anything else she could save to raise 3 growing boys alone while working 2 or 3 low wage jobs.

The fact checker probably only eats gluten-free, organic vegan foods.

I put the bacon grease into silicon cube molds, pop them out into a ziploc bag and freeze them. Great when cooking potatoes or green beans, or to toss into soups and stews. Nice smoky flavor.
Also, WILTED LETTUCE. It is made by mixing warm bacon grease with vinegar, sugar and onion and pouring it over fresh lettuce.
And Zuckerberg is indeed repulsive. He looks wan and soulless.
