Title: Another Suggested Forum
Post by: Mase on October 24, 2015, 08:08:41 PM
For those so inclined, there is a Forum on the old Compuserve boards that is supposed to be for Republicans but is largely infested with liberals whose main goal seems to be to shut down any conservative talk.  If you have time on your hands and are up for a challenge, check out http://forums.compuserve.com/discussions/The_Republican_Forum/ws-republicans?= (http://forums.compuserve.com/discussions/The_Republican_Forum/ws-republicans?=)

Wow, I didn't even know that CompuServe still existed. That was the first place I did any forum-type activity, back in the early 90s. It was a step above the old dial-in bulletin boards.

CServe is still around albeit in a much reduced form.  They started going downhill when AOL took over.  I started my internet life with them back in the 1980's when dial-up was $20/hour at prime time.  At 56k bps.  They still have a few forums and email service.

The way I understand, AOL bought CompuServe but decided to continue using the name. They did convert over many of the email addresses though.
