The article doesn’t say they skip security; it says they move to the front of the security theater line, successfully pissing off everyone who pays the $90 for TSA Precheck.

And it’s still regular security as far as I can tell, not the abbreviated kind with Prechek where you don’t have to pull out your laptop and take off your shoes.

Right. But presumably they are just skipping the start of the line where they check that your ID and boarding pass match.

I don’t think they are. It seems to be a separate lane but it says here they do the ID check.

It’s confusing. On the one hand it says you “skip to the front of the line” and then it says there is a dedicated BFast lane. But if they do all the regular screening how does that help you unless the regular line is long, and the BFast line is shorter. Maybe at LaGuardia it always is. Unless everyone starts buying the BFast.
