Title: Is the forum eating posts?
Post by: asechrest on March 29, 2016, 12:23:51 PM
The "Barefoot and Pregnant" thread indicates a new post by Kristin in the thread list view, but when I open the thread I see only the last post by Stan.  I posted in the "Did You Serve" thread, and at the time could see I had the latest post in the thread list view, but my post didn't appear.

Anyone else experiencing?

I've had similar where it indicates new posts, even new pages but unable to get access right away.  Sometimes reloading the page will do it other times just seems to take its' time or demand a restart.

I'm seeing something similar, but I attributed it to some squirrelly new things on Tapatalk. Are you seeing this on the web page too?

IPad running Safari.

Oh come on.  Obama didn't do it.

Of course, one of his appointed czars probably did.
Obama probably won't even know about it unless he hears about it on CNN.

I noticed it too on a Mac running Safari. I wasn't sure what it was, but it appears we're all experiencing it.

I do not see the issue on my end. Try deleting the cookies on your browser and reporting back.  :o

I started a thread at work on Tapatalk and it disappeared.  I had to re-write it on my iPad tonight without a problem.

Plus I read this thread up to Mr. Pou's latest post and it still shows on the list of "New unread posts".

Like I said, something is buggy somewhere.

Does the free software have any sort of index rebuild functionality?  It sounds like a couple of corrupted links.

I have used most of the free forums out there in the past. I think this one is one of the better ones as it has a good many plugins for features. Vbulletin is better though and so are some of the other paid ones. Really just depends on what you want.

That would explain why it didn't appear in my sent messages. I should pay more attention to the buttons I click. :P

I got it and will reply soon.
