Marx presumably was saying that communism is incompatible with the tenets of most existing religions. Not that atheism inevitably leads to communism.
As an atheist I hardly ever engage in communism or attacks on religion, but when I do I prefer Dos Equis.

With me it was the ban on birth control that turned me away from the Church. Ironically now that I’m way past my ability to have children, I wish I’d had more than just two. Maybe they knew what they were doing. Grown up adult children are so fantastic to have. Chasing around rug rats, not so much.

We can start another thread beating on the Catholic Church if you want. Can we focus on the demonization of a prayer that has been around for 500 to 1,000 years, and is prayed by people in quiet devotion to Jesus and Mary?

This is a real issue. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel did a hit job on the charitable contributions from Tim Michael, the GOP candidate for Wisconsin governor. Apparently it’s radical to donate to crisis pregnancy centers.
The Journal Sentinel is substitution only, but the story was picked up in Chicago.

The Republican candidate for governor in Wisconsin endorsed by Donald Trump is calling for people to take up "pitchforks and torches" in reaction to a story that detailed his giving to anti-abortion groups, churches and others - rhetoric that Democrats say amounts to threatening violence.
Calling for pitchforks and torches as an obvious metaphor referring to the Frankenstein movie genre, is inciting violence.
Calling for BLM/Antifa rioters who are burning businesses, destroying cars, shooting and beating up and killing people including a 7 year old black girl, to “keep it up!” Is perfectly fine.
