The Democrats essentially are making the U.S. a Police State where we just send the government more and more money for the privilege of being controlled and restricted.

They’re certainly trying their best to do that. Let’s see what the midterms bring.
One of my concerns is that even if there is a massive MAGA tsunami next week, this police state is too deeply entrenched. It consists of hundreds of thousands, or in the millions, of federal employees in all the controlling agencies, which are the actual driving power of this oppression. They make stifling regulations without legislation and representation that deeply affects the economy, our livelihoods and our personal quality of life. Trump is the only recent president who recognized this and was quietly rolling back regulations. This is one of the reasons they fear him so much.
But what Trump was doing was like using a bucket to empty the ocean. The alphabet agencies consist of unelected people with no term limits given the power to control people in innumerable insidious intrusive ways. It is completely out of control.
I don’t know the solution. We should fire all these people but there are no alternative jobs for them; we have created a massive parasite class who produce NOTHING but who drain the working citizens of their earnings.

My solution will probably be moving to a remote location in Wyoming or South Dakota and living a relatively quiet but active life not too near to anything nor anybody, so I don't have to deal with it anymore. It is maddening and like Chinese Water Torture takes a toll every day.
We've allowed a huge, unconstitutional shadow government to be crated and it is too large and powerful to get rid of it now.
