I have 4. My wife has a couple more and just finished a session a few days ago to color an older tattoo.
Hey jb!!! You can be our road to understanding. Why did you and your wife get these tattoos?

Well, that’s new to me. You pencil lead people, why the heck didn’t you or someone or a doctor pull it out? Or are you trolling us?

I sure hope so.

There are also those who mature and come around, even with the nose ring and tattoos, like this lady:

Maybe eventually it will become a fashion that started out signaling something but eventually became part of mainstream culture. I hope not though. I will never not think “snot” when I see a nose ring.
Agreed, with the exception that I think “booger.”

Here is a wonderful Ted Kooser poem I always think of when I see tattoos. I think people are using them to maintain some sort of unique relevance, but when so many people are covered with tattoos, it seems more like everyone is trying to hide behind them.

I’ve wished for years that my hoodwinked lefty friends could see what the Trump Administration is doing on behalf of the American people. That the Administration is DOING ITS JOB. But of course they won’t look at or don’t believe what, say, the DHS, DOT, DOW, etc. are posting on X.

So now, the departments can post obliquely and with humor right in the lion’s den, getting tons of attention. It’s Trump’s gift, really … make leftists see what they don’t want to see, then make them take a stand against something so obviously good that they look like the anti-American idiots they are.

Social media, unfortunately, is a tool that anyone interested in promulgating human flourishing must pick up and use.

Edit. It just occurs to me that maximum irony value would be achieved, though, if Bluesky banned the government from posting.

Ew, and yep. Makes sense.

That’s real? I saw that and thought it was a literal joke.
That is it. Look up Obama library images. It’ll still be under construction when President Trump’s is finished. Honestly, O is so irrelevant that I don’t think people care anymore. He’s certainly squirming around now with posts on X, trying to come across as consequential, but it’s just more of the same divisiveness.

Not sure what you are talking about.  I must have missed something.

Or are you saying that South Chicago is a  monument to a garbage can?
The Obama library, still under construction and highly controversial as it sucks up prime park space from residents, and held up by his insistence on DEI with certain percentages of black workers. Plus, ugly as sin. A joke.

When locals complained about the monument to a garbage can in South Chicago and a few lawsuits were filed they got tossed and local government turned a blind eye.
Saw a picture of it last night. Ick. Just a testament to the Dem refusal to create anything beautiful.

Now liberals will have to hate orphans and families.
This is so delicious. The left is making it widely known that they are against:  Healthy kids, health in general, Ukrainian kids (because Melania), peace, families, borders, putting American citizens first, punishing crime, faux victimhood, faux racism, basically anything fun or beautiful or good, and so on. Keep it up, Alice!!!

I’m just so proud of our President today. Saw his speech on X. Superb, and on point.

This hostage said Hamas was scared of Trump and wanted Word Salad Cackler instead.

“Literally Hitler” just secured peace for Israel.

I’ve always thought that the vast distances between everything in space argues for not attempting contact.

Spin Zone / Then what?

None of the great things President Trump is doing will produce the healthy families, disciplined and virtuous and self-denying individuals, or patriotic and pragmatic people we need to make our country truly great. Much of that must come from, perhaps, the work of Charlie Kirk and a foundation of faith. A long road.

President Trump may lower crime in some areas for a while, but will the criminals just move to other cities and towns? Providing economic prosperity and opportunity may help, but will the lazy, entitled people just entrench and remain so, or will they step up?

I am encouraged about the more secure border and the deportations. But will it be enough for a true renaissance of America to become a place where her citizens love her?

Lots of good things happening, but … how will they hold over time?

Also, many of these people don’t cook. They never learned how, being raised on packaged food. And (just saying) there is a laziness, entitled factor. So “real” food in their homes would just mostly go to waste. Let’s face it. The only alternative to eating junk is to cook. One more hurdle to overcome before human flourishing can occur. Perhaps the government should start up cooking classes. It never ends.

Mine was a Presbyterian university. Excellent academically when I went. But yes, the alumni magazine gets trashed. Same with my husband and his University of Washington alumni magazine. Both schools used to be pretty common sense. We’ve watched the woke spiral rev up to ridiculous levels the last 30 years. Sad. We had these schools in our wills but no more.
