It seems like the new Left buzzword is "constitutional crisis".  I suppose that's better than the previous buzzword of "existential crisis".  But it's amazing that the Left is now all concerned about the Constitution.  They never were before.  Or maybe because their focus groups found that the current buzzword sounds more ominous.  Sheesh.

Being a congressional law vs. constitutional provision, it should just take another congressional law to reduce it to 3 days a week.  Lots of stupid things are mandated by congress.  And they can be un-mandated as well.

An event that I vividly recall only because, at the time, I found it amazing and relatively economically literate. Not sure what changed Trump - several possibilities come to mind.

I don't see any change of mind at all.  He's against tariffs.  All tariffs.  So to get rid of the tariffs other countries have on our goods, he puts tariffs on them.  End result, removal of all tariffs.  When at economic war, use all tools at your disposal.  This is one tool to get to where we want to be.  Fair trade.  And exactly right... tariffs (although he hates them) are simply leverage to close a fair trade deal.

God always answers your prayers.  Sometimes the answer is "No".

It all comes down to do you want peace or do you want war.  If you want peace, Ukraine will have to give up some land.  If you want war, then this never ending war of attrition on both sides will continue with no gains in either direction.  The only winners are the military industrial complex and corrupt politicians.  The poor sods on the ground will continue to die for nothing.

Trump wants peace.  No more killing.  Yes, that looks like Putin wins some territory.  He does.  But there is no way that Ukraine will gain back its territory.  There seems to be no way that Russia will make more gains into Ukraine.

You want peace?  Great.  Here's what each side has to do.  You want war?  Great.  Go on without the United States.  See what the EU has to offer.  Peace in Ukraine does not mean that Trump sides with Putin.  It means he sides with peace.  And is that not a good thing?

Clearly, we need a third Trump term.

The more I see him, the more I'm impressed with Vance.  He may be better than Trump when he's elected in 2028 and 2032.  Twelve years of peace and prosperity!  And the fossils of the democrat left and RINOs will be long dead.

It's so ironic that the left is screaming that the position should not be political.  I suspect that those screaming the loudest are the ones who committed the most crimes.
