Don't forget that online courses are an option (albeit with their own set of problems)

Online high school classes are an absolute joke.

I teach high school Engineering/Aviation/Aerospace.  My Tango Flight Program ( is in 11 high schools around the country.  Every one of them is shut down for the remainder of the school year.  However, all are currently planning to open in the fall.

My local school district went to online classes in March (right after spring break).  To call it a joke would be a huge understatement.  I did better than most teachers, but only averaged about 70 percent of my kids doing ANYTHING.

We just received word this week that we must pass every student.  Unless we can document a ton of different ways that we called parents, students, counselors, principals, etc.  then we have to pass the (entire semester is credit only).

I  refuse to do it.  I passed everyone that put forth any effort, including a number that don’t deserve it, but I can not give someone credit that I have not even heard from since before spring break.  Maybe I’ll get luck and they will fire me.  It will save me having to decide if I’m coming back in the fall or not.

Would that be Boone's Farm?

That comment really tickles me pink.

Davey Crockett was born, here I was not lol.

I’m currently sitting about a ten minute drive from his birth site.  I’m waving, wave back!

Best Rock drummer of tall time.  Had the privilege of seeing Rush several times.  The energy and talent of all of them was incredible, but Neil was on a level all by himself.

Huge amount of respect for his talent, and the way he handled himself through unbelievable tragedy in his personal life.

Interesting, I did a google search on "puppet master" and story after story from the MSM came back, all bashing Trump.  So we can assume the term "puppet master" is yet another liberal talking point and narrative.

And I just thought it was a Robert Heinlein novel...

Really depends on if you prime or not.

Add to that price transparency.  The vast majority of medical care is non-emergency.  Make it was for people to comparison shop for that knee replacement, etc.

I will be there, probably with about 20 kids.

I think we are only bringing two of the Tango Flight planes this year.  One for the Airbus booth, and one for (hopefully) the Cleavaland Aircraft Tools booth.

I'm hoping to fly my personal RV-9A in as well.

I have a 1946 J-3 Cub that is licensed as Exp-Exhibition

Long, stupid story..

The only restriction I have found in the almost three years I've been flying it is that I have to send a program letter to the FAA once a year listing the air shows I intend to attend (doesn't matter if I do or not).

I can fly the plane for any "training" purposes.  and my test area is the continental united states.  So, not really a limitation of any significance.

Scary story.

Have a Phd friend that is doing some REALLY high level AI stuff.  Interestingly they are using GPU's to do the heavy processing.

Anyway, they developed a system that could analyze MRI's, etc.  It very quickly got to the point that it was way better than a doctor at detecting anomalies.  Then the scary part.  It has started exhibiting behaviours (it is a learning algorithm) that they can not explain.  i.e. it is doing things it shouldn't be.  Small scale at this point, but Skynet stuff...

And since I've turned this into an RV thread, let me also add :).

I've flown most of the RV models (not an 8 unfortunately), and they are one great flying airplanes, and two if you can fly one, you just need to learn the numbers for the others and you will be able to fly them.

The 9a(mine) and the 10 (four place) fly so much alike that insurance let me do my transition training in a 10.  First time I ever flew an RV-9a as PIC was on my first flight.  Almost identical flight characteristics.
