Spin Zone / Re: My God, Did POA Just Become as Boring as AOPA?
« on: January 17, 2016, 02:14:31 PM »
I still cruise and post on POA but not like before when the SZ was up and running.

The number of silly and inane threads has gone up.

There's definitely a feeling that something's missing. It's hard to put into words, but something is missing on POA now. Maybe it was the heated arguments that would spill into the SZ and then become a real debate that was educational and not just all rainbow's and unicorns.

Young = low wing

Old = High wing so your bald spot doesn't get sunburned.

Spin Zone / Re: Will 2016 be a "Cataclysmic" year for the stock market?

Investing is all about your age and your timeline.

If I were 20, I'd be buying right now like there's no tomorrow.

But I'm almost 60, so I'm almost out of the game. Young=risk on    Old=risk off.

Spin Zone / Re: What Will the Downfall of the US Look Like?

Wall Street has been on an unprecedented artificially inflated bull run for nearing six years. Companies and banks are not reflecting true competitive open market valuations. They have been 'shored up' by QE and ZIRP policies.

The next Great stock market correction aka liquidity crunch is going to catch people by surprise (although it shouldn't) and throw this country into an instant depression of unseen proportions. Foreign countries will call their notes in an attempt to subterfuge and cripple our great nation even more. The derivatives market will implode and take every nation on earth with us. Hunger and civil unrest will follow, possibly martial law, war, civil war, and the end of our great experiment as we know it. A dictator will arise. Most likely a ruthless one.

Bullets, beans, gold and silver might save you a seat at the table, but that's speculitive.

No problems in Texas.  ;)

Didn't Rome devolve into this shit before it was razed?

A chick with a dick would freak me out in a men's room.

Here's another spin on that:
So what you're saying is that the bureaucrats that were charged with the duty of auditing got off their fat wazoos and started doing their jobs?

Yes they did. They went right to work on every right wing conservative institution in this country either by executive order or just being suck-asses for position, I can't say which but I have a high suspicion.

If you ever raised chickens you wouldn't be so fond of eating them.

They'll pick the corn out of a dog turd.

I don't know about now, but when I was in England back in the seventies you could not say anything bad about the Queen in public or the bobbies might rap you on the head and cart you away.

So we don't have it all that bad.

Yet.

My understanding is the penalty is 2% of your gross income.

How they do this is disturbing.

Our health care is now tied to our form 1040 which sure sounds damned unconstitutional to me.

Well, I think its pretty clear. No use in waiting any longer. With 2/3 of the votes for privacy, I will turn it all back to private.  8)

I'm good with that.

I hope this place takes off. <no pun intended>

I like it we have a place where we can hang out and dabble in douchebaggery uncensored and uncut.  :P

Do you think this means Ford is placing their bets that the Donald gets in the oval office?

Spin Zone / o.k. my feelings have been hurt, time to shut this place down

Love it.

Now all this board needs is a 'thanks' button so we can all see who agrees with who and a 'you're a moron' button to see who all disagrees.

Grains, nuts, oils, and all that so called healthy stuff tears my GI system up if I eat very much of it.

I go by the old saying "too much of anything is bad" and try to eat a little of each food group every day.

Except dairy. Dairy tears me a new one. I used to love milk, but it's either my aging system or something in the milk has changed.
