Wait, I missed something on that - was it the feds or the state court saying it was unconstitutional? US constitution versus state constitution is my question...

I have also found myself skimming the sports section looking for mention of NFL players kneeling or otherwise protesting the National Anthem.  I have found none.  No mention of players kneeling, no mention of players staying in the locker room.  Nothing.

Should I glean from this that the practice has ceased.

Or should I glean from this that the paper has purposefully ceased reporting it.  Isn't the failure to report news just about the same as reporting "fake news"?

I heard a news report last week that the TV networks made a decision not to air the portion of the pregame that includes the national anthem - so whatever the players want to do (or not do) does not go out on the air anyway. Take away their stage, and they'll quit throwing their little bitch-fits for attention. The networks were just tired of listening to the fighting about it and being stuck in the middle while watching viewership drop and advertising revenue walk away.

First, FEC law doesn't write was is legal. All laws in the US defined not legal, but illegal activities, as we are not a proscriptive form of govt.

Second, Mueller has not indicted, tried, convicted Comey for any crime.

Boy - you are right on top of things.

When I first started reading through these threads, I picked up on a lot of hostility from you and I figured there was some personal history involved and y'all were having fun being an ass to each other. Now I come to realize you're just an unmitigated unwashed ass, across the board.

Got it.

Second, would you admit that a payment to silence an extortionist, by any other citizen, not using campaign money, would be legal?

If so, then it should be legal for Trump.

And further, according to FEC law as written, it IS legal.

Discussion over. There was no crime. Mueller convinced Comey to plead guilty to a non-crime, they are both idiots.

So what?  There is nothing illegal here. Since it didn’t involve campaign money, it is not a campaign finance violation. Period. You may wish it to be illegal, but that doesn’t make it so.

Which brings up a point I thought about earlier, listening to Rush discuss this - if Cohen rolled over and pled guilty to a crime which is not really a crime, in order to get a slap on the wrist for his very real tax evasion - doesn't this just go further to if not exonerate, at least give defense, to Trump on the same point? It's not a crime to do what Trump did, he can't be charged for it, and ultimately Cohen can't be sentenced for it because it's not a crime. So Cohen gets off light on the tax evasion while appearing to make Trump look guilty of a crime that isn't a crime, and everybody walks away with a slap on the wrist. Did Cohen do this intentionally to screw Mueller? It sure seems to me that's the upshot here...

Seized a piston and as it cooled and contracted it was able to rotate again?

A review of the CVR may say otherwise, assuming it wasn't overwritten. A true NORDO situation with actual lost comms would proceed as last instructed - but the timing is certainly interesting.

Stupid kills - both often not enough to help, and frequently the wrong ones.

PIC Life. Been good to me so far. https://www.piclife.com/

I got a quote from PicLife that beat AOPA by 20%.

46, don't smoke, pretty good health otherwise. Mild blood pressure, under control. I don't see that this rate is reasonable other than the aviation exclusions not being there - I would have thought AOPA would do better than that.

Pilot Zone / life insurance without aviation exclusions?
« on: August 22, 2017, 12:13:50 PM »
My work insurance brought in aviation exclusions to our life insurance policy that exludes anything other than as a passenger - obviously that doesn't work. I'm buying insurance now through AOPA but their rates seem a bit high at $2,160 annually for a million-dollar policy with zero aviation exclusions. What other vendors offer decent life insurance policies in the half-million and up range that would be competitive?

Hot, high and heavy carried me to within about 18" of wrinkling an airplane when I was a fresh PPL, scared the crap out of me and taught me a lesson I've never forgotten.

Took me a while to figure out that my primary instructor was a friggin' idiot and there were LOTS of gaps in my knowledge.
