Spin Zone / Re: Saw a drawing of Rush today.

My mother got to where she never cleaned her coffee pot, just rinsed it. The brown stuff would build all up in it and when I visited I always had to scrub it out. She didn’t mind, she just wondered why on earth I was bothering.  She lost her sense of taste in her later years.
If cleaned improperly a percolator will make the coffee taste a little soapy for days.  Use of white vinegar is a good idea.

YES!!  All the stuff I do during the day is just to kill time until I can go to sleep and then get up again for the coffee.
Well, a couple jiggers of single malt around 1945 does help my attitude. ;)

Oh then you will not want me to tell you about the procedures done on my eyes when I had retina detachments.  While I was fully awake.  The cataract surgery was much better, they put me out for that. Except right before I went to sleep the surgeon assured me he knew what he was doing; he’d watched a YouTube video on it.
He couldn’t pass muster as a standup comic, so he went into medicine.

Where's Alin Arkin when you need him?

Maybe in a B-25?

 ;D
Yeah, something about a contract he can’t get out of …  :D

Been there done that, back when all contact lenses were the hard kind. The edge like a knife if it hit you wrong. Or if it got lost up under the lid and you had to scrape it back down into place. My eyes didn't like them, and I wasn't even very tolerant of the soft kind when they came out. I finally gave up and accepted being bespectacled.
Me, too.

Lots of folks have done the equivalent - corneal abrasion due to a “malfunctioning” contact lens.

Who would have thought steel toe boots would be a good thing to wear at the RC field?  And chain mail gloves?   Maybe a face shield?  ;D

Bold part: blatant entrapment
Not to nitpick, but it’s “Altar boys.  Alter boys are what Riley Gaines is fighting against. ;)

How do you get to 18, 19, 20 years old and never worked a day in your life?  Mind boggling. I did my first babysitting job at age six! My mother and her neighbor paid me to sit and watch the neighbor’s baby sleep for a few minutes while they ran to the store. I started babysitting regularly at age 12, several nights every week, including school nights, and by age 16 had a job in a movie theater, then worked as a waitress and janitor and even helped cut down trees with a tree service. I had jobs all through high school and college. Our own kids did the cleaning at my husband’s office and both were martial arts instructors all through HS and college. It absolutely blows my mind how kids these days aren’t allowed to learn job responsibilities.
My two oldest were able to find part-time summer work in the 1990’s - early 2000’s.  By the time my youngest was old enough, automation and a higher minimum wage had cut out many stock clerk and fast food jobs.  She did work part-time during the school year (college) in IT.  Until the recent staffing crisis, it was hard for an industrious kid to find suitable work.

In other words, Jewish in name only. No wonder they hat Israel and love the Palestinians and vote Democrat.
I am not sure about her, but many U.S. Jews are Secular Progressives that worship big government, not their faith.  It may be a Bolshevik thing because many are Russian and Eastern European.

Truth;  actually quite common.  It strikes me as wanting to hang with the “cool guys” - Ivy League types whose core group is well-heeled wealthy WASPs.  Makes no sense, since traditionally that bunch looked down on Jews, and lately has supported Palestine.

Spin Zone / RGB is Dead

Saturday and Sunday were holidays so she should have been buried on Monday and lying in repose would be against tradition.
Only Saturday (Rosh Hashanah and Shabbat).  Sunday would have been fine. :)  EDIT:  Ooops, many celebrate day 2 - yep, earliest day might have been Monday.

I thought so.  It would have been Sunday, if her family was observant.  Apparently they’re not.

I don’t think Scott cares.

The papers have reached the point where they can’t afford to drop ANYTHING that gets revenue - even a comic strip.  There’ll be lots of bluster and balderdash, followed pretty much by the status quo.

Okay.  I’ll accept the premise that thongs might be considered indecent by some.

So remove the thong.  :D

I’d have had my camera out, yelling for her to get closer.  TV news pays big money for action shots, especially when somebody gets killed. :D
