HAVE  YOU EVER BEEN GUILTY OF LOOKING AT OTHERS YOUR OWN AGE AND  THINKING, SURELY I CAN'T LOOK THAT OLD.

WELL . . . YOU'LL LOVE  THIS ONE.

MY NAME IS ALICE , AND I  WAS SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH A  NEW DENTIST.

I NOTICED HIS DDS DIPLOMA  ON THE WALL, WHICH BORE HIS FULL NAME. SUDDENLY, I REMEMBERED A  TALL, HANDSOME, DARK-HAIRED BOY WITH THE SAME NAME HAD BEEN IN MY  HIGH SCHOOL CLASS SOME 30-ODD YEARS AGO.

COULD HE BE THE SAME GUY  THAT I HAD A SECRET CRUSH ON, WAY BACK THEN?

UPON SEEING HIM, HOWEVER,  I QUICKLY DISCARDED ANY SUCH THOUGHT.

THIS BALDING, GRAY-HAIRED  MAN WITH THE DEEPLY LINED FACE WAS WAY TOO OLD TO HAVE BEEN MY  CLASSMATE.

AFTER HE EXAMINED MY  TEETH, I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ATTENDED MORGAN PARK HIGH SCHOOL  ..

'YES. YES, I DID. I'M A  MUSTANG,' HE GLEAMED WITH PRIDE.

WHEN DID YOU GRADUATE?' I  ASKED.

HE ANSWERED, 'IN 1975. WHY  DO YOU ASK?'

YOU WERE IN MY CLASS!', I  EXCLAIMED.

HE LOOKED AT ME  CLOSELY.

THEN, THAT  UGLY,

OLD,

BALD,

WRINKLED  FACED,

FAT-ASSED,

GRAY-HAIRED,

DECREPIT

SON-OF-A-BITCH

ASKED,

'WHAT DID YOU  TEACH???

Trans is a FAD promoted by the insane Left, Media, Entertainment, and our own Government. It's like forced Diversity. A ploy to disrupt and weaken society so the Elites gain more power.

The mentally ill are easily fooled into thinking it's a panacea for their pathology. It's actually a dangerous BANDAID.

Yes, almost all the fake trans have mental issues that make them vulnerable to exploitation which this is. The media and the left made it mainstream, mandated it be accepted culturally, and opened up the floodgates for unethical “healthcare” providers to take advantage of a huge new demand for “gender affirming care”.

The need to censor and shame any protest about this was to protect the profit stream and as you say, gain power for the elite class. Free market supply-demand is one thing, but they are creating demand from a fake made-up problem.

Decades ago “bottom surgery” was niche. The specialists took their job seriously. Men with catastrophic injury or disease could get some semblance of a penis rebuilt. It’s much different if you have some underlying structure left, as well as a prostate.

There are actually real trans women who end up happier after bottom surgery. There was much more careful screening back then and if the roll of the dice meant you were the lucky one with no major complications, quality of life was much improved.

So for the .01% of real trans, I’m not saying throw the baby out with the bathwater.  The libertarian in me would say keep government out of it, but the rational person in me says there are times when authority must be used to stop the evil among us from victimizing the weak, stupid or immature.

We must have a law banning hormones and surgery for “gender affirming care” for children, and I would extend that years into adulthood.  But if you get to 40 and still want to do that to yourself, go for it. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. I would favor mandating making them look at pictures of complications, failed surgeries where your result ends up a painful necrotic mess, ruining not only your ability to orgasm or have children, but your urinary system to boot.  And in the case of female to male fake dick surgery, permanently damage the nerves and lymphatic drainage in your arm.  Also let them pay for it themselves. It is elective, not necessary.

Also ban discussion of this topic in schools.  I hate to go all authoritarian but these people brought this on themselves. We need to put a stop to it.

I see this as nothing more than friendly rivalry and teasing on the way to a much more beneficial and fair trade agreement and cooperation.  They are doing some things we don't like.  We're now doing some things that they don't like.  In a week or so all will be well, we'll hug and be prosperous together.

It's the countries that he's being quiet about that have to worry.

Yes.  The U.S., Canada, and Mexico, taking up the entire North American continent, are deeply tied together in mutually beneficial interaction. I audit rail freight for a job. There are millions of rail cars per year (several thousand per day) crossing those two borders.  There is no chance any of the three of our countries are going to blow up these relationships. That would be catastrophic for all of us.

It’s more like we are siblings in a family quarreling amongst ourselves. But if a real threat came from the other hemisphere we would band together to defend our continent and each other. The U.S. is the most powerful by far, like the big brother to torture the analogy, and sometimes big brothers act like bullies.

It’ll sort itself out. People need to stop hyperventilating over it.

I have a lot of retirement money invested through my various retirement plans over the years.  I'm just trusting that they are doing the right thing with the investments.  I get yearly statements showing overall growth, so that's good.  I do have the choice of picking the level of risk I'm willing to take on.  I'm just happy with the "growth" option.

I also have some money an IRA that I inherited from my mother.  I have to take some percentage out every year, but I'm playing the market with the rest since it's "free" money that I really can't take out without paying taxes on it.  Just invest and hold.  Everything is doing OK overall.  Except my DJT stock.  That's down 70% since purchase.  Thinking of buying some more :)

Haha!  I made the post below before I read yours.

When will Canada drop its tariffs on us?  250% on milk that's been there for years?  Trump's position is that we'll drop tariffs if they drop them too.  Sounds fair.  People are only focusing on the most recent 25% across the board.

Exactly.   Canada has been raping the US on many products (like Europe) and then the outrage when we do it to them.  The goal here is fair trade.

Dems and Blob Together

"Why be a Democrat if you can’t retire with millions of dollars? Hell hath no fury like a politician exposed!" —Dinesh D'Souza

James Kunstler / 7 Mar 25

If the Jacobins of Paris, 1794, had not been bum-rushed to the “national razor,” perhaps they would have acted-out as clownishly in defeat as America’s Democratic Party does right now after their election debacle of 2024. Imagine Robespierre in Harlequin drag riding backwards on a goat over the Pont Neuf to do handsprings and a juggling act in the Parvis de Notre-Dame. Alas, foiled by the guillotine. . . .

Now imagine Rep. Al Green (9th Texas Dist) shaking his cane and hollering curses at the rostrum in Tuesday night’s joint session of Congress. Two days later, he carried on again in the well of Congress as Speaker Johnson read out his bill of censure and a motley mob of Mr. Green’s fellow Dems gathered ‘round to sing We Shall Overcome — the once stately Civil Rights movement reduced to abject farce. Such things are really happening.

The Dems’ game has been revealed. The revenue stream for their national wrecking operations is suddenly cut off and it’s game-over. Everybody can see how this worked now. You funnel vast amounts of US taxpayer dollars into Non-Governmental Organizations, NGOs, spin off more NGOs below them, and add extra layers of subsidiary NGOs, and all of them pay their staffs of Dem Party foot-soldiers for do-nothing jobs — leaving plenty of time for riots and real-estate investing — a splendid racket that worked for years to support the insane antics of the Woke-Jacobin revolution. (And you paid for it.)

The catch is: an org that gets government money is hardly non-governmental. Wouldn’t you think there’s some law against that? Thus, Exhibit A: in September 2022, Dem luminary John Podesta was put in-charge of a $369-billion fund out of “Joe Biden’s” so-called Inflation Reduction Act, tagged for climate change action. Conceptualize further: that’s three-hundred-seventy-nine-thousand-million dollars (!), a lot of millions, disbursed among tens of thousands of NGOs and their contractors. It boggles the mind that the government could even manage to cream-off such a fortune out our nation’s alleged aggregate productivity.

It was, in reality, money conjured out of thin air: debt. Before long, you are going to find out where it all went, and the picture will not be a pretty one: Into the NGO laundromat and straight out to Democratic Party members’ bank accounts, one of the greatest grifts in our history. Of course, your grandchildren are on the hook for all the debt behind it. Do you think our DC Federal District judges would serve better presiding over these matters than spending years hunting down J-6 “paraders”?

Without that bonanza of conjured money for laying trips on the rest of us, the Democratic Party has nothing, not a single credible idea, not any plausible leadership, really no reason to exist. It has been for years nothing more than a gigantic grift engine extracting the remaining wealth out of our republic. So, what you are seeing acted out on the DC streets and the well of Congress and on the angst-filled cable news networks is the kind of ghost-dance that attends the death of a great political machine. Buh-bye. . . .

The symbiote of that parasitical organism is the “blob” of war profiteers, pharma profiteers, seditionists, traitors, lunatic ideologues and assorted criminals lodged in the DC bureaucracy and Congress. For instance, former CIA Director John Brennan (appointed by Barack Obama), a veritable US Communist Party activist in his youth and all the above in age. After 2020, Mr. Brennan might have thought all he had to do was kick back in a comfortable retirement, make a little extra “walking-around money” doing hits on MSNBC, and enjoying the esteem of his former colleagues as a legendary blob poobah. Likewise, Mr. Podesta, former White House Chief of Staff, Chair of the Hillary Clinton 2016 election campaign, and many other distinguished perches. Likewise, Senator John Warner, RussiaGate promoter as Vice-Chairman of the Senate Intel Committee; and likewise, Senator Adam Schiff, chief engineer of Trump Impeachment No. 1; and likewise, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Mark Milley, rumored to have enabled the J-6 riot by denying National Guard reinforcements for the Capitol Police; and likewise, former AG Merrick Garland, the Torquemada of lawfare, and likewise, FBI Director Christopher Wray for concealing the far-ranging criminality of his Bureau in a long list of hoaxes and ops against the public, and likewise, Gina Haspel, who ran the CIA through the high times or RussiaGate hoaxdom; and likewise, “Biden,” Blinken, and Sullivan in Ukraine and the fate of $300-billion-plus in purloined aid — all these people just a small sample of the depraved officials who operated with such gross impunity against the citizens of this land, soon to collide with the wheels of justice.

The Democratic Party is no longer in a position to defend them, and conversely the blob actors are in no position anymore to protect their allies in the Dem Party. It is a mutual aid society suddenly turned into a suicide pact. The real action hasn’t quite commenced yet as a new officialdom warily finds its place — Bondi, Patel, Kennedy, Gabbard, Ratcliffe, and Musk — to address a complex agenda of reform for that matrix of appalling agency corruption. We await a flood-tide of greatly disturbing revelation and concrete actionable allegation.

Between all that and the cascade of truth finally emerging about Covid-19 and its dastardly vaccine program, America’s elite managerial class — Dems and blob together — find themselves like Pharoah’s Army of old, trapped by an onrushing flood of destruction. All they have left is making faces and screeching like ghouls.

While searching for more details I came across this story:
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/army-intelligence-analyst-charged-selling-military-secrets-to-china/
"An active duty Army soldier and intelligence analyst spent over a year selling sensitive military documents related  to the U.S. defense of Taiwan, weapons systems, and missile defense systems to China, federal prosecutors alleged in an indictment unsealed Thursday and obtained by CBS News.

Sergeant Korbein Schultz is accused of using his top secret security clearance to download classified U.S. government records at the behest of an unnamed individual who claimed to live in Hong Kong, allegedly amassing $42,000 in the process."

Thought "Wow - bunch of espionage arrests these past couple days." Then looked closer at the date of the article and realized this particular arrest occurred one year ago: March 7, 2024. Male of probable German ancestry due to last name. There may have been furor elsewhere over his actions last year, but don't recall them making it to this forum.

My simple takeaway is that motivations for espionage aren't always driven by heritage or duty to some other power, but good old fashioned greed.

Espionage is still spying.

Selling military secrets to the fucking enemy is still worthy of the firing squad%

Pretending it’s not a big deal might work for the mushy leftist but not for the rest of us.

Another Democrat plan backfire.  The democrats wanted this to happen, so they met with the little dictator beforehand and talked him into it.  Their hopes this would damage Trump.

That’s exactly what happened. Zelensky fell for it. He thought “the machine” was still basically in charge. Did not grasp the nuance of the total power flip that happened with Trump’s election, that Trump isn’t just a figurehead like Biden was, and that the American people’s support of continuing aid to this war is fast dropping.

The Democrats meanwhile are still trying to run things illegitimately, outside the proper channels, and against the will of the people, because they are incapable of anything else.

But more important than anything is they need to take Trump down.  If Trump were wanting to continue funding the war just like Biden was doing, the Democraps would be screaming about how he’s a warmonger killing Ukranian babies.

Let’s assume for the sake of argument Zelensky is not corrupt and enriching himself off our money. Let’s assume he sincerely wants to save his country and has all good intentions. Let’s also assume he is not trying to be a dictator but legally suspended elections under Ukrainian law because of severe logistical problems trying to hold fair elections when much of your country is under fire, many voters have fled, and large portions of the land are under enemy occupation.

In that case, he is turning out to be a bad leader anyway. He might be forgiven for accepting U.S. aid at the beginning but we are now 3 years in, and it is becoming obvious that no matter how much aid he gets, Ukraine cannot win. The U.S. or some strong combination of European forces would have to engage directly in conventional war with Russia which would literally touch off a non-nuclear WW3. The alternative is to nuke Moscow and hope Putin doesn’t return the favor.

Even under Biden that wasn’t going to happen. Biden and the MIC aren’t interested in saving Ukraine and defeating Russia. They want to continue indefinitely for their own enrichment. Zelensky’s mistake is not understanding this. He is too emotionally invested in keeping Ukraine’s borders intact and not letting Putin win anything at all, so is stubbornly digging in and deluding himself into believing continued lukewarm support - if he can’t get hot support - from the West will eventually lead to Putin giving up and withdrawing completely. In his defense, the U.S. left, the Uniparty, and Europe are all telling him this is possible.

The long and short of that is that he is weak. He is invested in sunk cost (he can’t quit or the lives lost will mean nothing), he cannot accept the reality that the war is already lost, and he is not an actual leader, either politically or militarily, but at core, an actor and entertainer. This gives him a certain charisma and he did perform admirably in the very beginning, bravely remaining in Kyiv while under attack and gaining assistance from other countries. That was not necessarily inappropriate at the time, but the situation now is very different.

From the start we have been told Russia was on the verge of losing, running out of resources, all their stuff is breaking down and so on, but it’s not actually true. Russia can continue this for a while, and if she gets to the point she just can’t, Putin might drop a nuke on Kyiv.

It’s clear to any thinking person that it’s time to negotiate an end. That means talk to Putin - an idea which Zelensky seems unable to stomach - and concede some land, sorry, but that’s what it’s going to take.

Zelensky is steeped in entertainment culture which is dominated by liberals, socialists and leftists and just like the left in America, he thinks that’s “normal” and is unaware and un-exposed to the other side. Hence his shock at Trump/Vance not behaving like he expected, and the whole power structure in the U.S. being completely turned on its head last November.

How to win a war:  Well, part of it is knowing when you can’t, and negotiating an end the best you can.

And I know the article talks about communism but it’s not communism they want because they know it doesn’t work. They use and abuse capitalism while preaching communism ideology. Every “communist” country must do this. Just marry government with its power of enforcement to capitalism with its productivity.

That’s the real goal, that’s why they must destroy the economy first, to justify the takeover, then rebuild the “capitalism” but under their control. You can have your private business as long as you lick our boots.  First we will starve you and make public executions of your heroes to beat you into submission, then you will fall in line or be disappeared and maybe your whole family too.

Every “successful” communist utopia did it this way. This is what the left wants for America and the whole world. Sick, unnatural, inhumane and inhuman.  These people are literal psychopaths.

Married 25, together close to 30. We have taken on the world, had each other's back, and are still best friends, even after retirement when we're together almost all the time. Doesn't get any better than that!
