Spin Zone / Re: Where is Palestine on the map?

I have no idea what that evolution would look like, but yes, I think if we were to evolve, it would likely be the end of borders and private property. It would also likely be the end of many of our emotions, such as envy, hate, jealousy, rage. It would be the end of insecurity as well as the "alpha male". It would be a very, very different world, but a world of peace.

I believe, like many science fiction writers, that one day in the future we will become clever enough in our knowledge that the option of evolving into a different being will be before us. The question then will be, will we be willing to let go of the animal in us for the sake of moving forward as a unified group? I doubt there will be a unanimous answer to this when the time comes.
I think Darwin disproves your theory. That's a serious statement.

Now for a slightly less serious point:  I think your evolution of getting rid of the "alpha male" has already begun, ironically with the male millennials wearing skinny jeans and generally acting effeminately. Throw in the designated hitter and pink shoes in the NFL, and all hell is breaking loose.

It is stunning that the Saudis threatened the US, and our POTUS is getting on a plane to meet with them.  A real man would say "fuck you, call me when you grow up" and let them sit on that.

Even if there are mild negatives to fracking, I think that problem of shipping huge quantities of money to people who want to destroy us is more problematic.  If the west wants to deal with the Middle East problem it needs to achieve enough energy independence so that we need to buy the oil less than the middle east needs to sell it.  They have taken our money and grown their populations way above what the land will support.  They have to import food.  We have the food.  Let them need that more than we need their oil and all the problems of the middle east becomes much more manageable.
So, how do you feel about a heartless far-right wing radical conservative agreeing with YOU?  😄

I got home from the office really late last night and was flipping channels just unwinding, and I saw Hunt for Red October.  I stayed up until after midnight just to get to your signature line.  😄

Damn!  I actually have to agree, assuming you can stand having a marxist, communist, socialist, liberal, progressive, feminist agree with you.  ;D

I'm nothing if not open minded and accepting of all.  Let's give it a shot.  😄

That is not my understanding from other sources.  Will try and find time to locate the articles but this weekend is dedicated to putting my rump in the saddle of my mare for several hours a day.
Hey, what you do behind your bedroom door is up to you.

Uncle Karl has now decided to play both sides of the fence.  It's all about power and retaining power, doncha know?
Rove is a douche and has always been a douche.

Not to worry, electric cars will solve the energy crisis.
COOL!  Coal powered cars!
Wait. Electric cars take electricity?  No, you just plug it into the wall outlet. It's free energy, and probably created by the flutter of butterfly wings, which by the way is a renewable resource, sir.

You conservatives know NOTHING about what is good for our country.

HATERS!

Feel the Bern!  Woo hoo!

I reread my post and I didn't get the switcheroo of timeline you did. Perhaps it's the sleep deprivation talking.

Congratulate me: I became a dad again, 6 days ago.
So THAT'S your excuse for being AWOL from Pilot Spin?  Pffft.

Congratulations!!  Boy or girl?

And Cruz = Sanders.
Or do you really believe that Cruz is the one and only politician ever that won't change once he attains office and responsibility?
I won't speak for Jeff, but I think he is the one and only candidate running who has any chance of following through with his promises. He has principles, and followed through on them in his senate career, at great political cost. When has Trump, Sanders, or Clinton ever stood for something  even if it may cost them an election or political power or financial gains?

This is a serious question. Why did someone who has expressed extreme hate for the GOP and the RNC, and who hasn't read the rules and refuses to acknowledge the rules, and wants the rules changed such that a plurality of delegates should automatically get the nomination, want to be this party's nominee?

Why does Trump want the GOP nomination, when he appears to be at odds with much of its platform, including the support for the Fifth Amendment and the platforms rejection of Kelo v. New London (pg. 13 of the Republican Platform 2012)?

Why didn't he just start his own party?  He could certainly afforded to do so. He could have set up a primary system where every  state has a Trump Party primary vote (no caucuses or conventions), and the plurality vote getter gets the nomination. It would be an excellent party, a beautify party, and the Trump Party voters would be fabulous people.

I despise the Republican establishment (the elected career politicians), but not the party of Lincoln.  That's why I engaged in significant debate over on POA that the Tea Party wanted to change the GOP from the inside, and not start a new party. However, I don't think Trump even knows the GOP was the party of Lincoln, or that it was started in 1854 in nearby Ripon, Wisconsin.

So why did Trump run as a Republican?

"It’s hard to feel sorry for anyone who claims the process is foul because they don’t like its result. If winning the presidency is as important to Donald Trump as he says, one would think he would have looked more seriously at just how the presidency is won. Instead, he waited until late March to hire a staffer dedicated to securing delegates. Trump and his fans keep insisting he’s among the smartest, shrewdest, most competent men to ever seek the White House, yet his campaign keeps getting blindsided by rules that have been posted in plain sight for almost a year."

Obamacare was a compromise?  It was shoved through with more back door deals than I can count, and not supported by a single Republican.  If that is your definition of a compromise I am truly frightened.

-Dan
Democrats compromised with themselves, because even the most progressive liberals knew that a complete government takeover of the delivery of healthcare wouldn't fly with the American people. They didn't give two shits about what Republicans wanted.

Still, sycophants like Kristin thinks it was a great victory for the magnanimous Democrats to compromise. What a load of crap.

You did read that they said it was unauthorized access, right?

Trump might have done better had he actually had a rep at the convention.  The man has no clue about the rules of the race, and keeps blaming the rules that he never bothered to learn.
This is EXACTLY right. I'm sick of the smartest man in the room being the most unprepared man in the room, and then blaming others and threatening to sue to get his way. Is this the New York Values that some want in the White House?

Trump already wants to change a 156 year old rule because it doesn't fit his desires to steal the nomination without a majority of delegates.

So the fact that the State GOP was in on the deal as evidenced by their tweet makes no difference.  These things keep adding up.  First we told the Carson supporters he pulled out when he hadn't and sent out Voter Violation notices.  Seems like Cruz can do no wrong no matter what he does, yet he is the example of Christianity in the campaign.  ???

Ethics don't appear to matter at this point.
You do understand that every state Republican primary is a function of that states' GOP, right?
