This one is on Biden.  That said, there was no way out withdrawal wasn't going to be pandemonium, and yes we should have done it far sooner.  Obama should have done it.  Trump should have done it.  The one thing I would like to have seen would have been us quietly spiriting out our allies (all those guys who helped us over the years) before the collapse.

You would have thought that the Army War College, West Point, the US Air Force Academy, and the Naval Academy might have had a text book or history book describing how a withdrawal should happen; perhaps one they had a picture of the helicopter on the roof of the US Embassy in Saigon, for example.

You would have thought one or more of those generals or admirals would have pulled those old dusty text books and binders off their shelf and looked at them over the last 20 years.

You would have thought one of those generals or admirals would have advised their superiors in their chain of command to say, “Hey, just FYI, pulling the military out without getting Americans out and without withdrawing our weapons and assets may not be a good thing to do.”

You would have thought one of those superiors would have gone to the SecDef to advise him and the president of the same.

You would have thought.

It’s obvious to me that air is going to try to go around the mask, not through it. The mask itself is “resistance” in terms of fluid dynamics. Air will go the path of least resistance. Proof of that is your glasses fogging up. Some goes through the magic square, but a lot completely bypasses it.

We know that effective masks must be airtight against your skin forcing the air to go through the filter. All the experts know this which is another reason the whole mask thing is a big fucking lie. If it does any good at all, it will only be to stop big globs of snot when you sneeze. That’s it. And then you will still get that on your hands as you fiddle and fool with the thing, stick your finger in there to scratch your nose, etc.

The entire purpose of the surgical mask is to prevent doctors and nurses from spitting or snotting into the open interior of a person. That’s it. That’s what they were designed for and medical personnel know how to keep their hands completely away from it, how to follow sterile protocol in every move they make. The public doesn’t. It is completely irresponsible to lead the public to believe that surgical masks are appropriate to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.

Sure, but from what I’ve seen, particularly where masks are mandated, Americans have they safest germ-free chins in the developed world.

Exactly. To my knowledge no advanced scientific research has occurred within the last year that supports that masks do a single thing. The surgeon general and even fuckin’ Fauci said as much 16 months ago.
