Cool Places to Fly / Airstream Trailers

I’m looking for a used travel trailer primarily just for OSH with my brother, though I might use it in retirement with my bride.
Currently the rentals cost over $3,000 for 10-12 days at OSH. Madness.
So as I’m looking at the used trailer market, I’m intrigued by Airstream trailers. Of course, as a Boomer, I remember the Apollo 11 astronauts going into quarantine in an Airstream on USS Hornet in 1969.
They aren’t giving them away, of course.
Anyone have any experience or thoughts on Airstreams?

For you engineers here, why in the world aren’t we tapping into the largest body of water in the world and sending desalinated water inland into California and points east?
I understand Saudi Arabia gets about 50% of its water from desalination plants and sending it along 2,500km of pipelines.
Are we not as smart as them? For fucks sake, what am I missing here?

It says all you need to know when Biden leaves an American former Marine charged with a crime that never occurred while exchanging a guilty, America-hating, lesbian WNBA player for an international arms dealer known as the “Merchant of Death.”
I’ll bet if Paul Whelan was Colin Kaepernick was held in a Russian prison, Biden would have gotten him out with Griner.
Whelan is guilty of being a white, male, straight Marine. We just can’t have people like that returned to the US.

Accident Review/Never Again (I hope..) / CAF Wings Over Dallas Mid-Air

Dear members and supporters of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF),
I wanted to share with you the news of a tragic accident that happened earlier today. On Saturday, Nov 12, at approximately 1:20 p.m. CST, two CAF aircraft were involved in a mid-air collision at Dallas Executive Airport during the CAF’s Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow.
The aircraft involved were our B-17 Flying Fortress Texas Raiders N7227C and our P-63 Kingcobra N6763, both based out of the Houston area.
The B-17 operates with a flight crew of 4-5 individuals, and the P-63 operates with a single crew member. At this time, we are not able to provide the identity or any personal information about the aircrew involved.
The Commemorative Air Force is working closely with local and national authorities who are investigating this accident. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident. Currently, no additional information is available.
We will continue to share information with you as we are able. It is always difficult to share news like this, however you are part of our aviation family. It is important that we support one another in times like this.

Today the Marquette University Law School Poll came out. It shows the Wisconsin Senate and Governor races to be a dead heat, with the Republican candidates (Ron Johnson and Tim Michaels) ahead of the Dems (Mandela Barnes and Tony Evers), but within the margin of error.
But my takeaway from the poll is from the bottom.
These two tables are issues where each group says they are “very concerned” about them. The top one is the issues sorted in rank of importance to Republicans, the bottom is sorted in rank of importance to democrats.
How do you bridge the divide when:
-Accurate vote count is only concerning for 38% if Dems?
-Inflation is only concerning for 38% of Dems?
-Crime is only concerning for 37% of Dems, while “Gun violence” concerns 76%? Sounds like they are more concerned with denying 2A rights than about the impact on crime.
-Illegal immigration is only concerning for 9% of Dems? Less than 1:10? Are you fucking kidding me?
-Abortion policy is the #1 issue for 81% of Dems. 4 out of 5 Dems want to be able to kill babies at will.
Also look how Corona only concerns 1 in 10 Repubs, and only 2 in 10 Dems.
Politics used to involve a lot of compromise and doing what’s best for the country. No longer. How is killing more babies what’s best for the country? I guess if you’re a satanic death cult it’s important to you, but for most human beings, it can’t be part of who we are.
I conclude this divide can never again be bridged. Half of our country is now lost. We will only win issues and elections on the fringe. No one is trying to co Vince the other side on the wisdom of their side. No statesman exists in the US government. Politicians are just the pawns for the shadow government.

My belief stems in part by how desperate the democrats are getting in their ads.
Exhibit A: GOP governor challenger Tim Michels is running against incumbent dem governor Tony Evers.
Michels and his brothers runs their family’s pipeline construction company, Michels Corp. Tim Michels is also a former U.S. Army Ranger, 12 years of active duty, Major, including being commander of The Old Guard, responsible for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
His opponent, Gov. Tony Evers, is running ads itemizing several sexual harassment claims at Michels Corp, of course implying that Tim
Michels was part of ownership covering them up.
Want to know how many employees Michels Corp has? 8,000! Eight fucking thousand employees. And these desperate leftists find a few cases that can happen at any large company on any given day.
For. Fucks. Sake.
And of course that gets picked up by local media, who have to do their own “investigations.”
