I disagree about Trump being the true target of this, he is a strawman here.  Sure, they'd like to hurt him, but more than that, they want their base incensed about him and then incensed at Republicans for voting against their sham.  The sad part is that it's going to work, at least with their base.

My feeling in the moderate world is that Democrats come out looking...pathetic...for pushing such an obviously flawed impeachment package.  I think the damage to them with moderates is greater than their gains with their base and we know that because moderates are tuning out impeachment.  Even CNN has moved it "below the fold".
I think CNN has moved it below the fold because the Republicans now get to fight back without one hand tied behind their backs.

They will have to hear from Barr.  They will have to adhere to the rules of evidence. They will have to listen to Republican witnesses. They will have to operate under the Senate rules. And they know ALL of that will be bad for “their side.”

That's not a new theory.  I have been saying that all along.
I said it as well, with the additional thought that the flawed charges would allow recalcitrant democrats in Trump districts the chance to vote no, even if it results in a failed impeachment.  In fact, they know the electoral hammer will fall if they impeach him, and the prospect of losing the House is much more vile than the prospect of losing an impeachment vote.

Oh dear God. I don’t have time to go get some eye bleach, so I’m going to put up something that is much more pleasing to the eyes.

Yea for the Brits. They survived two world wars. I’m sure they can survive being  independent again and out from under the thumb of the New World Order in Brussels.

"The flak is the heaviest when over the target."

Gee, wonder why Holder is lashing out?  ;D

Pay attention for the next couple of weeks, a lot of things are in play right now.  The Horowitz Report and following hearing has many in the swamp running for cover.   Barr and Durham have made it clear, this isn't over.

Notice how Mitch wants to move for an immediate acquittal in the senate if the impeachment passes the house?   Ask yourself "why?"

Lots of swamp creatures are about to be exposed.
Yep there’s only one man in DC willing to take on the swamp. One. We should all have his back.

If half the Republicans are also caught up in this shit, so be it. Frag them all.

Does anyone care what Holed says except CNN
The most political and partisan AG in modern history thinks Barr is unfit?

Day drinking is fun, but not if you need to be in an interview soon.

Sadly, yes, doing nothing in retirement is rarely a good thing.

As I approached retirement quite a few people warned me about making sure I have something to do (and surfing the interweb doesn't count as something to do).  I also paid attention to others I know that retired and took on too much (one friend talked about how he was much much busier than he was when working).
So I will be working forever because I have an expensive hobby. However, I will be taking signals from some of my aviation friends who are retired.

One is a former KC-135 and 767 captain who retired from the airlines at age 60 with a United Airlines and Military pension. Oh and his wife has a government pension as a former ATC Tower controller. He is the youngest 71-year old I’ve ever met. He flies a Harvard and a Chipmunk, does formation training and Warbird checkouts, and last year had a knee replaced and a shoulder repaired. He was on the 1969 Ohio State National Championship team, but when he went to his 50th team reunion in Columbus this fall, he was taken back by how “old” some of the guys were. He refuses to let the”old guy” into his life.

Another guy sold his auto repair business to his sons, and also had a career as an LEO. His retirement business is selling radios to Police departments, and he restored a Hughes TH-55 Osage Vietnam era training helicopter. First flight should be in January or February. I think he’s in his mid-60’s.

That’s how I want to “retire.”

Don't make any big decisions for a year after you retire.  Advice from Mrs. Steingar, who retired three years ago.
Not so sure about that. Of course it’s different for everyone, but my FIL was a widower when he retired at 62 as a professor at Illinois State University. He didn’t have a spouse, didn’t really have a hobby, and loved what he did when he worked. He went back to part-time work, but when they made him retire a couple years later, he died 6 months after he was done working.

My wife thinks sitting around without purpose is what killed him.

Who was it today that said the Republicans paid for the Steele dossier??  I was listening to whatever Rush was relaying this morning while I was trying to unclog the shower and I wasn't paying attention. But I heard him say the Republicans paid for it and whoever was (cross?) examining him said "That's not true!" Anybody know what I'm talking about?
I don’t know, but I’ve heard democrats say the exact same thing. Must be a line of fiction repeated often enough by CNN to be turned into fact.

If it becomes even more crystal clear that the communist party is not going to win back the White House, then a loser has to be sent out to die against President Trump.

In that regard, hilary is as good as any other lying dog.
Dear God, would it be glorious to see this happen twice in my lifetime.

Chris Wallace is the ultimate inside the beltway Democrat stooge.  His father was a Leftist, and so is he.  He hates Trump because he is a threat to the status quo in which Wallace THRIVES.  Juan Williams is just a Democrat talking point regurgitator.  I cut the cable a long time ago, and don't miss Fox other than Tucker and Greg Gutfeld whom I can stream if I want.
I used to watch Meet the Press and Fox News Sunday every Sunday without exception.  I thought Tim Russert was top notch, and didn’t let his biases in to the conversation. He was tough on both parties, yet rarely used the cheap talking point “gotchas” used today. Their panels were lopsided, but Russert kept it fair. After he died, Meet the Press became unwatchable.

Same with Tony Snow on Fox News Sunday, except he was even better than Russert. His panels were as balanced as can be.  When he died, Fox News Sunday became unwatchable. I stopped watching the show a couple years ago.  Wallace is a democrat hack, always has been, and always will be.

Thanks but it’s nothing really bad, I didn’t mean it to sound that way. Just tons of stress and pressure dealing with important decisions involving facing retirement plus Christmas coming and I’m not ready plus having to transition to Windows 10 plus 3 or 4 family members have birthdays this month too plus having to fly commercial to see mother in law and all this stuff happening at once and so my coping mechanism is avoidance and escapism.  :D
Got it.

Get a MacBook Pro. Take that Windows crap off your list.

You’re welcome.

Delusional.  Even if they take the Senate they won’t get 67 votes to convict.

I screenshotted this because it too is likely to be deleted.  I don't know why I went back over there. Yeah I do, I'm trying to avoid a lot of unpleasant real life stuff. Maybe I'll just go back to the unpleasant real life stuff.
Rush, sorry about whatever you’re going through.
